Could happen but you would have to think the NAFC press release may have burnt a few bridges

That was one of the most unprofessional pressers I have seen in a very very long time

Would loved to have been in the office when a couple of people read through it and went "Yep, send that out"

Terrible presser, but it's up there with Roy's dummy spit over Thommo.
I thought that was pretty unnecessary. Disappointing to lose the King of the North, but he's been a great player for us and didn't deserve that send off, despite the anger that everyone knew the club would have had.

Don't think the Bays have the $ to go as hard as the Dogs, and I doubt Johnston would be assed travelling to Noarlunga repeatedly,
so that leaves three?
Sturt have a couple of ex Crowbots back for 2016 and a nice central location for the boy to hang around but will they re finance
themselves for one player?
North should ask for every $ of transfer though now that the bidding is in full swing!

Who is saying it's all about money and the highest bidder wins?
Maybe there are other factors that come in to the equation and he takes less to go elsewhere

But don't North set the price for Johnston's transfer, hence it is about money?

I think the required salary is more the sticking point .. Most clubs could stump up the transfer fee for him, no matter how large it might be.

You wouldn't think many clubs would have that sort of coin left for next year at this time this year.

Transfer fee doesn't count against the Cap, hence the Salary requirements could limit the number of potential suitors.

We haven't announced any recruits yet and we've lost some pay packets since the season finished. We wouldn't have plenty of money but, as far as I can tell, haven't spent any yet.

Mixed feelings about wanting him. But we do need a forward. That was a massive problem for us last season - we've got some good young mids being marshalled by the Schillers who will only get better this year.

So he's going to be the designated senior player at one of the garbage teams?

We might after losing Beech and Keugh in the rookie draft but I doubt we would pay or have the funds, to pay the transfer fee

WELCOME BACK, MICKJ...

Good to hear you are on the road to recovery...

Matthew Watson is a key position player that was delisted by Carlton...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_W ... _born_1992)

I believe Central and North are two of the clubs in the mix, I think Westies and Sturt the other two?
