The swans really need a win this week and what hasn't been talked about much this week is that their form has been particularly poor and not just over the past two weeks but for a month or so. They look like a shell of the side I remember just with intensity and non stop pressure, they really need to lift as Adelaide will be raring to go this weekend. Going to be interesting to see how tippet goes against the crowies.

Was interesting having a chat with the lads at the pub last night and hearing different opinions about Goodes both negative and positive from people of different races.

Interesting read.

And I think the point he highlights really well is that there is a lack of nuance on both sides of the debate - but that probably extends to almost everything these days.

Seems like a general feeling of "meh" is not really an acceptable position to take these days - you have to be on your side and shout it louder than the others. We are all guilty of that, but all it does is amplify any negativity so much that the original argument is just swamped.

Poor article IMHO, someone telling Adam how he should act and feel. No one has that right.
The way hes been treated and the things he's been called wouldn't upset me either, but it doesn't give me the right to tell him how to feel and act.

Problem is that when Adam Goodes reacts and makes comments about these issues on a national stage and speaks as if it is on behalf of aboriginal people then I think Aboriginal people can make a call on his behaviour and how it's reflecting on them.

Two of best mates who are Aboriginal were last night saying how they think he handled most things really well, they side with him over the 13 year old girl saying they thought he was within his rights to call her out as he would have been very emotive though they felt his 'war cry' dance was agressive in nature and added fuel to the fire though doesn't deserve the treatment his now copping.

At times they said they feel as if he presses his issue in a manner that is too agressive and from what they were saying his not as popular amongst aboriginal people as I thought he would have been.
