Things that you rate!

The community spirit shown by unlikely heroes when complete strangers are in need.
What I've witnessed over the past 24 hours makes me proud to be a South Aussie.
Firstly, the superhero firefighters, then it's those putting up random families and there pets and then those buying and donating supplies.
Simply awesome.

not to mention the people with horsefloats going around moving everyones horses to safe places without the owners knowing and at no cost.
Don't play games with a girl who can play 'em better...

Great post, I'm well known for being critical of Adelaide but without doubt there is a beautiful community spirit throughout the state (there is always a minority's which I had the unfortunate oppurtunity to meet half a dozen at work today)

Even today at work we had 6 of our 14 staff who were rostered on unable to make it to work due to the fires.

Within 15 minutes and a couple of phone calls I had all shifts covered so the people affected didn't have to stress or feel like they had let our work down (knowing we were going to be smashed 42degree day pubic swimming pool)

Already the girls at work are collecting money and putting together hampers with all the food, clothes, necessities they will need

Seeing photo's of the countless amount of horse floats waiting at Sandy Creek Oval made me tear up.
My cousins family & a few close friends were forced to evacuate today, I feel terrible for them as they may have no home to return to, at least they are safe though.

Hearing the CFS on AA tonight asking the community to kindly stop donating food as they have too much and it will go to waste.

Also AA's radio coverage has been fantastic. I know it cops flack however their support and information has been great.

Heard about the donations this afternoon and decided to drop some off tomorrow. They just gave out they are setting a community fund if people want to donate. Hopefully some big organisations get on board and help out those that have lost their homes. Cfs twitter is being update as soon as the info comes in.

It's a magic spot. Got married up there.

And go up there many times each summer.

the last time I went up there with Bum Crack I passed out at the dinner table with knife and fork in hand.
I can't drink like that bloke.

The Melbourne Stars.
Has there ever been a sporting team full of so many dead set wankers?

Footy Chick would be an all rounder. More than one string to her bow.

Purely for the fact she is female.

You have to think about it a bit. ;)
