If Port win 2 or 3 of first 5, will be ok, but if they struggle early on, may affect ability to finish top 4, and could be fighting for 8th spot at end of season. Hope Im wrong though :)

Are you kidding Port will smash it next season. They could win the whole thing.

Hope you're right REB.

My main concern is the relatively tough early "draw".

If we come out of first 5 games ok, we will be set.

If you are good enough then the draw is irrelavant. Look at Geelong 2011 and Hawthorn over the past couple of years. Hard draw - premiers. Only mediocre teams are affected by the draw in my view. If Port go 3-2 over those first five they can really launch at the top two. Port just needs a little more luck with injury next season as they cost you your top four spot last season.

I think that looks about right, I would still have us in the finals ahead of West Coast though. Not sure where their improvement is coming from, especially with no Glass or Cox for the whole year?

imho port will finish 5th again...

Who do you have above Port wubbsy?

regards,

REB

hawks, sydney, freo and geelong (i can never write them off, they'll prove us wrong again)...

Port may make it, but i just think they won't take that next step... They will more then likely win a flag in the next 5 years ( :( ) but it won't be next year.

They have a very tough draw, they'd want to not have their annual fade out. At the end of the day if you're good enough you'll win the tough games.

I can see Freo doing really well 1st-4th if they have a lucky run with injury. Otherwise if you remove the aged/injury prone guys they could hit the deck hard.
Not too hard to imagine Fyfe, Pav, Sandy, McPharlin, Johnson missing severe chunks of the season, not to mention Ballantynes tribunal record.
They really need the Walters & Mundy types to be at the top of their games again.
