But feeling nervous about this trade.

We lost our second best mid and a bloke who, albeit is poco loco, finished fourth in the Copeland this year.

And replaced them with Greenwood, two list cloggers, and a pick in a shitty draft.

Yeah, I'm not nervous, I'm pissed off.

What? You're not happy with Greenwood? Why for?

We would have landed Greenwood without the Beams trade.

I'm pissed off because it's pretty clear the Beams deal was orchestrated by Connors and Brisbane months ago and somehow we got blind sided. Then to rub salt in the wound we backed down from rightly requesting a player of Beams' ilk, or at least a decent pick + a quality rookie, to take jack shit.

Other issue is, obviously with us going after Waite and Higgins our average age is increasing in 2015, so losing Greenwood who is surplus to our needs and getting a decent kid into the system at Pick 25 again is good list management/balance IMO

If the Roos pickup Cooney as well they will need to recruit a builder to install some wheelchair ramps.

From afl.com.au :

4.54pm: BREAKING: Greater Western Sydney will hold Tom Boyd to his contract in 2015. Your move, Bulldogs.
"The GIANTS welcome comments by Tom Boyd's manager that he will honour his contract with the club," the Giants' statement said.

"Liam Pickering told Trade Radio that Boyd would play for the GIANTS in 2015 if he was not traded.

"Chief Executive David Matthews said: 'Given we have said Tom will not be traded under any circumstances we are pleased that any ambiguity has been removed and we look forward to welcoming Tom back to training next month and preparing for the 2015 season'."

Tom Boyd is just looking for the first chance back to Victoria. That is all. Its abit soft and piss poor. I would trade him to the dogs, seriously. Enjoy that environment where even the captain wants out. Or trade him to the saints and he can get flogged each week for the next few years.

With all the talk about the Bulldogs possibly claiming Boyd in the PSD next year and some people saying he will get selected before their pick, when was the last time a player didnt get to the club he wanted through the PSD?
Nick Stevens wanted Collingwood but Carlton took him. Has there been any others, im struggling to think of one?
Tippet got to Sydney despite them having the last pick

Cooney headed to North for Kieran Harper plus pick 68 according to 3aw.
Also mentioned the Suns have rejected Port's pick 37 for Gorringe

I like Harper also but his last 18 months have been terrible, looked like he was going to be a ripper 2 years back.

Spot on, I rated him big time back in 2012 but injury & form have really let him down.
I suppose it's not talking out of school now, but I asked an assistant coach at North around mid-season about what's happening with Harper. He simply shook his head and said "very little".
Other players have overtaken him.

Cats are interested in Rhys Stanley from the Saints. They are said to be considering trading pick 21 for him. Surely he’s not worth the same as Christensen, I hope the Cats don’t go through with this, sounds like a bad deal for us.

Harper is the forward flank/pocket yeah? Has a fair bit of pace?

Already been robbed with 21 for Christensen, although if rumors are true perhaps the Cats were happy to just move him on and create a better environment at the club.

Was just about to say the same thing. Good on the Cats for taking what they could get and now looking at another kid who has a bit of talent that needs to be worked with in a decent football department. I think the Cats will come out on top with the trade.
