Maybe the crows and power can work together and ship him off to the Bulldogs as part of a package deal with mckernan for a pie AND an iced coffee?

in all seriousness, is Jon Butcher the worst player on any AFL playing list at the moment?

According to that survey, IIRC, it would seem Sydney are the Chardonnay sippers.
Being the Bondi Billionaires, I thought they'd be into Cristal ;)

No. He'd have the least confidence of any on any list, but he is not the worst.

Brisbane have more cap space, a higher first round draft pick, his brother plays for them and they have been into him for quite a while and they certainly were not "surprised" when he announced he wanted a trade home.

Ah ok, so the Suns wont waste their time trying to get him?

Beams offered 5 years $4m by Brisbane.

Collingwood wont let him go easily, has a year to run on a contract.

Pert on radio this morning indicated they will be trying to make arrangements for him to go home more whilst staying at Collingwood.

He's goneski when that contract expires anyway. Might as well get the top ten pick for him now instead of nothing as we're no chance of a premiership next year.

Yep can't stop a bloke going home if that's what he wants. At least he is being up front about it (and not going to magically end up in Sydney)

Well yes that's it isn't it. Next year you wont get as much because he will have a lot more power, might as well push for a top 10 pick this season.

I think the suns will. I believe they will be fairly loose with that first round pick, and have plenty of young talent to entice Collingwood with as well. Even an excess of young talent you could say. Hence I think they are in the game. Depending on who can get the deal done with Collingwood. I get the feeling that this is not about money for Beams.
