Army - your spot on with the criticism (oops sorry I mean genuine question) re: Central Div ladder. The Country Div & C grade ladders have been up since early yesterday to my knowledge...

And in relation to the incident involving Shane Kenney, your A grade coach has a full run down that I am sure will be passed on to all concerned this evening.

Yeah, GTS. I played a season or 2 with Biggsy. Baffled me why he went to Bridwood. Were they strong back then? Was a good bloke though. Can sell a house apparently!!

Didn't actually play with him - injured and I'm a hack!

But he's a champion. Used to make a good coffee and now sells a good house or 3.

read back a bit further navy boy we played blackwood last week and ben badenoch played b grade with pagey and matt golding tend to think blackwood will struggle to make the 5 in the a,s they were with out carberry and greenock and nick byrne did his knee ..on another topic i was talking with a blackwood player who i know quite well and he said he was out of there at the end of the season along with a fair few more including his bro who has just come back from overseas ...not happy times at the blackwood caravans !! 8) 8)

Blackwood making the 5 in A grade probably depends more on the result against Mt Barker, and whether Mt Barker can beat either Uris, Mt Lofty, Onkas or Ironbank as well. I don't think the Roos have a hope in hell of toppling the devs or demons, but they could knock off Onkas on their day, and I reckon they'll beat Blackwood too.
Fifth spot will be hard to grab.
Blackwood B grade are on the brink as well...

mt barker should beat blackwood on current form i would say looking at there results recentley ..blackwood need there injured players (grenock, carbery etc ) back asap if they are to make a run at the 5 i would think surley badnoch and golding would be more help in the a grade instead of getting easy kicks in the 2s :D :D
shake n bake any news on byrneys knee looked pretty bad maybe a recon required ?

TWE - Agree with you on the likes of Golding & Badenoch contributing at a higher level but haven't seen much of them in the best players etc. this year so can only presume they are coming back from injury... there weren't too many easy kicks out there against the Thunder 2's from my vantage point, perhaps only when IB delivered poorly to the forwards.

Would like to hear your thoughts on Pagey leaving the ground at 3/4 time to prepare for coaching the main game... can the Woods really expect to compete when the game is there to be won & take off the most damaging player on the ground? Can only think that teammates would do it tough knowing they dont have him to close out the match (and are also one man down on the bench too!)...

Having seen all sides this year (& referring mainly to the top 3 B grade sides), you'd have to agree it is most definitely the best standard of B grade football seen for quite some time...

Yeah, gotta agree with you, 2 Old. The B grade is at a VERY good spot at the moment. Top 3 would have beaten some A grade teams from a few years back.

Birdwood were very strong back then, but the main reason he went is because his brother in law is Scott Teakle, excaptain of Birdwood, and gun footballer, wanted to play with him.

Interested to hear if anybody thinks Uri will drop one this year, who it will be against & how/where they can be beaten?

A very well balanced side with class on every line... can't see it happening myself.

Unless Lofty get out of the gates a lot quicker than they have been, Uri's will not lose a game this year.

Most clubs love to win every week, however there is always the saying "The more you win the closer you are to losing"

I am sure that this would play on the minds of the Uri players if they get to the GF undefeated.

Is there any chance they could rest a few players as the season draws to an end and have an unxpected loss.

Hope the day they play Mt Lofty conditions are fine. I'd give IB a chance at home next time based on the their last encounter.
A 3's on winner is better than a 20/1 loser !!
