Think his contract situation contributed to him ending up where he is today. Maybe he could renegotiate and repay them that way.

I would imagine there would have been lengthy negotiations when he first fell ill and decided to walk from football. Everything I've heard suggests Melbourne did everything they could to help him and in turn Clarke and his management were also very accommodating.

I'm glad the football world is no longer in a state where he is automatically condemned as a sook who couldn't hack it, or something...

What has happened to Helbig?
Thought he looked ok a year or so back.
Lol at Edwards though, he was cooked at North and then Richmond took him

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

He also said Melbourne might seek a trade given he is still technically contracted this year.

Also not quite sure why he wouldn't stay at Melbourne. Maybe contractual issues given he was on monster coin and melb wouldn't pay that now?

His partner is also studying in Melbourne.

Money not an issue as Melbourne and his management already agreed on a pay out for the following season. There must be a little more as to why he isnt keen on staying at the Demons

The dude suffers from depression and you want him to play for Melbourne? You people are cruel.
