Later revealed, in a Press Conference I attended, that it's not actually his girlfriend. Just a freind, accompanying him to the event...

Yeah, was thinking the same last night, when there was only me and a handful of other registered users online. Typically MM night was one the busier nights for this forum.

I think someone at the SANFL has stuffed up if North has been given no points for a draw. I have just looked at the Lewis trophy for other years and points for a draw were always split between the two clubs.
In 2011 Norwood won with 2725 points having had 14 league wins, 13 reserves wins and 13 under 18s wins and 1 draw.
I think that it is an insignificant trophy but clearly someone at the league doesn't or can't follow the rules.

The SANFL has now advised that North has won the Stanley H Lewis Trophy on "count back". I guess it is something to go into our trophy cabinet but I would much prefer the T S Hill trophy. At least the SANFL have realised their initial error.

First time in the 53 occasions since this trophy was first awarded in 1962 that the winner didn't play league finals.
Congratulations to North Adelaide, history makers 2014.
