On the plus side I would have thought 40% of the crowd was Centrals, and really did support the team till the end. A disappointing turn out from North Adelaide considering they had a chance. A case of having too much of a good thing, close inner city location, rich supporters, plenty of cash chucked at them from the Adelaide club, but little support unless they are a sure thing. Playing the cock a doodle doo when your 7 goals up smacks of singing when your winning.

Hopefully not too many retirements from our side, although I do have a concern with a couple of our big names. Hope they can see the light and Roy sticks around. For a club that had the courage to stick by its principles and is a shining light for the community, it certainly has more merit and creed than most in this competition; you know those who abandoned all principle and stuck their snouts in the trough. 6 clubs need to hang their collectives in shame and watch their cup taken away by a reserves team.

Poorest attempt at troll of the year?

Be interesting to see if Laird does hang around. I lean towards no .

I think you'll find it will be more than likely that Roy Laird will be coaching Central District next year, at League level...

I reckon if Roy Laird was gonna call it quits it would have been last season. This being our toughest season for 15 years i reckon he would wanna stay and guide this new breed of dogs back to the top.

Not doubting that. You seem to be suggesting it was a possibility Phil. Otherwise why mention it.

If I said 'Roy Laird will more than likley be coaching at Central next year'...

Some smart @ss will get on here and say... 'What, in the Mini League' !!??

That is why I wrote what I wrote...

Impressive turn out from Dogs supporters at the game.
Well done to North on Saturday. Too good.
I had horrible concerns when Tommy Collier stood next to me before the game and those feelings of foreboding were justified throughout the game - we had no answer to Shillabeer, who just monstered us.
We turned the ball over with shit kicks/handballs so often, it was horrible. Meanwhile, balls landing at the feet or just wide of players belied the skill level we'd seen in recent games.

I waited to watch Thommo walk off after the game, wondering if that was it for him. However, the way he walked off and no acknowledgement from his team-mates didn't indicate anything. Anyone know if he's going on? Any other departures? Jenner will be getting close, you'd think?
And...good luck to Joshy Glenn on his future in the national league. Hopefully he gets picked up by North or the West Coast as the rumours are suggesting.

Good barbie. Good banter. Shit result.

Good luck to the other clubs in the finals, particularly South.

I got that impression. Earlier in the year he was definitely talking retirement, but not so much now.
I also get the impression that Roy is quite looking forward to next season and seeing the further development from this side.
