Lucy

Besson, you crazy French bastard!

Completely bonkers. But absolutely brilliant.

Not even sure WTF I was watching half the time.

Yet loved every minute of it.

Blood-splattered Scarlett is 100% sex bomb.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to enjoy the rest of my acid flashback...

Mixed reviews, but any movie with Scarlett and Morgan in it can't be bad

Haven't seen it but I have heard good things.

Animal kingdom was one of the best Aussie films I have seen in recent times. And Snowtown.

Hercules.

Saw it this arvo as I had the day off work for my birthday. Really enjoyed it, the Rock is massive! Lots of action and killing. My missus enjoyed it too after not being too keen on it before watching it.

Guardians of the Galaxy

Good. Not great. But pretty solid.

Lots of nice moments and clever little touches. But I wanted to like it - and laugh - more than I actually did.

Funny, coz a movie everyone called "risky" plays it so safe. To the point of being borderline bland. But hey, Marvel knows its audience better than anyone.

Really didn't expect that post-credits scene...

The Enforcer

Second favourite Dirty Harry.

Though I think this one's a comedy...

Great Sunday viewing on Foxtel

The Normal Heart - about the outbreak of AIDS in NYC and the epidemic it became. A group of activists conflicted by methods but all striving toward the same goal, but receiving little support from various levels of government. Mark Ruffalo is exceptional (as he always is), Julia Roberts is very good, and the supporting cast contains plenty of quality. A confronting and at times brutal (in terms of delivering it's message) film that entertains whilst handing out a history lesson. Rate it highly.

My Tehran for Sale

Bit all over the shop.

But an interesting peek into Iranian life.

There's a great movie here. It's just not on the screen...
