The most damning thing about all this is Rankine knew there had been a complaint about the person the year before and stood there and said there hadn't been.
David Waterford did the same thing, realised he'd f***ed up and resigned
Rankine has been found out and said what she said wasn't misleading Well Minister, staying silent when you know something is not correct is as culpable as denying it. You did both.
Waterford must be thinking WTF to himself. He just screwed up badly and lost his job. He didn't lie or deliberately mislead.
Jay4SA and Mighty Marty might have confidence in her, but that reflects on them more than anything else

God help us if this is all he has

For a person who exclaimed how his Govt wants to work in tandem with business; he severely lacks any understanding of how business actually works.

There was actually a low chuckle when he mentioned that the banks are onboard. Of course they are. Nothing like a Govt guarantee as another level of of security. The general discussion afterwards was that borrowing money is not actually that much of a problem at the moment unless you have a disastrous business plan. Is this what we will be guaranteeing? And $50m?

Over my life, I must have seen thousands of Mission Statements and Visions.
They are all useless unless there are goals and a practical and tangible plan to achieve them.
That's what sorts out the wheat from the chaff, the bull$hit from the meaningful.

Here's what the Premier said:

That's to ensure they are totally unaccountable in 3 years time. They can say see what we achieved even though it might only be a drop in unemployment of 1%. I love the way he tried to take some credit for the achievements of Beach. I couldn't see them there, but I reckon they would have choked on their bread rolls

Well thanks for credit from that quote.

On what was being talked out, well actually borrowing money is an issue, but not so much getting it. Investors are currently looking at returns carefully at the moment and if there not going to get this return then they arent going to be progressing with major development projects. I mean why would you if its going not going to do what the intention is. The problem for our friend dancing Jay (From the election commercials when he was trying to look dynamic I nick named him dancing Jay) is that besides the Government funded projects, there is not alot else happening. Construction is slower, although housing is going ok-ish at the moment, generally the state is struggling. How can this be turned around, well a bunch of people get made redundant for pubic and private sector jobs is not a good start. A bunch of people form Holdens worrying about there future is not going to help either.

As for the notion that its not more expenisve to do business here in SA, well dancing jay if thats what you think then maybe you should just keep on dancing.
