Obvious trip, if the tackle didn't end up taking out his feet, the Hawk player was off and running down the ground as the "tackle" didn't do much more than ruffle his guernsey

Sorry, but the tackle was legal before slipping to the feet and was in the middle of the player taking a bounce. Unless the rule has changed over night then it was blatantly holding the ball.

It was holding the ball before it was a trip.

Just did it then with McLean's deliberate out of bounds which was never there IMO, he was battling for the ball with a Hawks player, tried to hit it to his advantage but it went out of bounds, nothing in it. Matthews blatantly defended the umpire saying he got that right. WTF was McLean ment to do there?

Game day reports are an absolute joke, why have them?

Cyril's report will be thrown out, but now Cyril hasnt gone near it, no doubt worrying about the report.

Just leave all reports until Monday FFS

I like the look of Menzel, huge talent!

Watson is a ******* Spud, should of kicked that goal. Carlton have a run on, skipper hits him on the chest and gives him an easy shot on goal. He butchers it, Hawthorn get it down the other end and Sewell kicks a goal to bring the margin back to two points.

Bruce is lost now that Cyril's impact has dropped. Menzel had a breakout match against adelaide and has been pretty consistent since. Solid month from him.

Amazes me how the rules change from week to week. Well in fact the interpretation of the rules anyway.

Completely agree. That was a disgrace tonight. I've been all for the way the game has been umpired tonight but the three umpires seem to run their own agenda to completely stuff up a game of footy.

They succeeded.
