To be honest, didn't watch too much of it as there were a few of us from FOOT-e TIMES having a bit of a catch up...

From what I did see, West looked to waste their opportunities in front of goal and, although being a young side, were beaten on the inside pretty easily...

I think Big Phil's important may just be the subtext here.
'People are not stupid. They know when they are being conned. And two reserves teams operating in a League competition will reduce it to a farce, a competition without a soul.'

Norwood has named a fairly inexperienced squad for tonight. 7 players will make their debut in the league side

Bit of a farce that AFL listed players can play in this comp.
West Coast Eagles Ressies v Norwood Ressies, could get ugly

Foxtel Cup 2014

Lol at the commentators.
"Playing in the Foxtel Cup gets you noticed and 25 players have been drafted from the Foxtel Cup"
And Mark Harvey has called East Perth as West Coast Eagles

The effort is there (good tackling) but the skills at times are abysmal gifting them goals.
We're going to struggle to kick more than a couple of goals and it's just a waste of time with such a weak side.

Yeah, dont know why we bothered TBH, atleast some kids are getting a run.
To play 9 debutants says alot about how we have treated the comp, conversely East Perth have rolled out close to their strongest side, the 5 or 6 Eagles players are miles above what else is out there

Another SANFL Foxtel Cup schemozzle. Bugs me that the rest of the country sees our comp this way. These games will get more publicity than this weeks state game. Either try or don't enter it, one or the other. Yes, applies to Westies too

Maybe the games should be towards the end of the season, when some of the teams' league seasons will already be over.

Westies had the issue of no bye after their first game, they were really in a no win situation.

Norwood has no league game this week and only 1 state rep.
