If Port don't like the deal to play @ Adelaide Oval (which astounds me somewhat, considering THEY were the one's driving the whole thing, due to a supposed "poor Stadium deal at Footy Park"), why not get Koch to start developing Alberton?

Make it a Stadium like Geelong have.
Borrow some money from a BANK (like the rest of us have to do if we want to 'invest' in Home/Site improvements) & develop your OWN Stadium.
That way you can charge your supporters $2.50 for a Pie instead of the $5.50 @ AO.
Of course, that's going to make it difficult to REPAY your debt - unlike the debt that's been 'written off' for the 'Magpies' & the borrowings from the SANFL for the years of shite attendances @ AFL Games.

It is essentially still the SANFL running the thing in the winter months.

The AFL Clubs aren't getting what they think they should. I don't think the SANFL league competition is getting any better. We do seem to be doing well in the U18 National Carnival (whoop de doo - most of those players end up interstate anyway).

Where is all the money going? The SMA CEO said today the figures aren't released publicly. Given it was the public that put in all the money to allow the SMA to exist, surely they should be transparent with their figures?

Having said all this - I think this is just Rucci stirring the pot and making a mountain out of a molehill. All in all the AFL clubs and SMA/SANFL must be happy with the first couple of months of footy at Adelaide Oval.

By the way kick unit, there is a hint in the name of the game that suggests where the laws if the game came from.

You do realise the laws of the game that the SANFL play under are written by the AFL. Also if the SANFL want to change any rules for their competition (e.g. 50mtr rule to 25mtr) they have to apply to the AFL to change it. Below is the link from the SANFL page laws of the game. You will notice on the front page the big AFL logo just above the Laws of Australian football 2014. You should also read rule 2.3.

For what its worth, probably not the best example. Using "25" has pretty much always been at the discretion of the SANFL (or WAFL, VFL, etc.)
