I do see one club in particular goes berserk on facebook wonder if they were involved.

The person in question is extremly lucky they don't have a law suit dropped on their arse (to which in my knowledge they would have no defence to save them in this case) work in an environment where kids are always present (same as the suspended player if I'm told correctly) and if someone puts my character at jeporady on a public forum which could affect my proffesional life I would be going a lot further both through the courts and with the fists.
At the end of the day you say it face to face and maybe 15 people would have heard, you put it on the net and hundreds or thousands could read it.

It is clearly nowhere near the sort of offence that should lead to a 5 year suspension!

Agree and like I said the 5 year suspension Is excessive
In saying that though if you went off at umpire on the field calling him a kiddy fiddler what be the suspension especially considering only 20-40 people would hear rather than the hundred - thousands that could read it on Facebook
Realistically the five years is probably for stupidity, it's one the dumber acts by a cricketer I have heard of

I think even the culprit would say it was a stupid thing to do.
Rubbing people out for a year or more should only be reserved for people who do things with real malicious intent, not just posting something stupid on facebook.

Salisbury North I believe, you are right though, if he played for Rosies he would have got off, I have lost count of the number of times we have called people Pedos on social media and been allowed to play the next week.
Its like the old saying "Not what you know"
Oh, did I mention that you are a dipshit
