The young lad in China who had his eyes ripped out by some old lady, his (now deceased) aunty being the main suspect.

That type of awful crap, puts a few other things in perspective.

Our 30 odd year old family Turtle dying after being crushed after getting out on the street on Saturday. He was let out in the backyard to stretch his legs for a bit and ended up getting down the side of the house under the gate then out on the street. We found him in the gutter two houses down with his shell crushed and blood everywhere.

We assume he was run over by a car. It was dads fault as he didn't keep track of him after he let him out. Think we had him about 12 years after getting him from my cousin. We were thinking of maybe getting rid of him awhile back, now this has happened.

Always sad when you lose a family pet.

Chin up mate,

As a kid I use to live with my mum but go to my dads every second weekend.

I definatly much preffered my dad and he lived by himself while my mum had a partner and my sister and step brother living with her.

The Sunday arvo when I had to leave my dads was the worse gut sickness feeling I have ever felt in my stomach and now reading ur post I think he may have felt the same way all those years ago. I felt like I was letting him down and being disloyal to him but I had no choice as my mum had custody which I didn't understand at the time.
