On a positive, the oval is in a lot better condition than the Bridgewater oval from a few years ago. At least this had some grass visible.

Maybe HFL knew of this inclement weather before finals the crowds maybe low so they decide to increase entrance money to ten bucks!!On a sidenote superules has been moved from lobey to kersbrook this sunday due to condition of lobey .Watched the brookers train for a while.Very impressive. Why is that ground not being used for finals?

I think you'll find a lot of the ovals in the hills aren't owned or maintained by the council. I know Birdwood's isn't which makes getting funding from the council very difficult.

The issue is we have ovals like Kersbrook's who handle the wet better than any not being given a final and yet we have to play on Nairne's and Gum's which are proven mud holes when we have wet weather. Even Birdwood's would've held up better than Nairne's.
Gum's is already looking bad and there's more rain due before the weekend and some on game day. After Saturday, it won't look any different than Nairne's.

I sense a hint of sarcasm - because you can't be serious!
