unfortunately my beloved panthers went down in the main game
around 3 goals the end result
weren't able to repeat the form from last week
maybe the short break took its toll on the older boys of the team
on a positive the b's got up by around 5 goal

Griffith, O'brien, Bain and Harvey outstanding in the midfield.
Was surprisingly subdued after such a big win.

That was a big win Stewie, Last years premiers over the spooners.
Huge pick up to have Harvey back at Angaston for the year and O'$brian has fitted in well.

Harvey back at Angaston where he belongs, he struggled big time in the rmfl and this year would not be in Mannums top 18 , wise choice to move on , good luck to him in semi retirement.

Disappointing loss by South today after leading for most of the game and being 6 goals up at one stage.
Centrals ran over the top of us to hit the front with about 10 minutes to go and ended up winning by 20 points.
Did I hear correctly that Freeling only scored 1 goal for the game and went down by 150?

Hard to tell, we were badly undermanned today and they didnt play much better than us.
They looked good in patches but terrible in others, a few of their recruits went ok but a couple were pretty average. I think they must of got the wrong Solly, very ordinary. Mercer was fantastic though.
Cant see them troubling the top couple but will be pushing for a finals spot

I think you might have your Mercers mixed up Jim. The one that stitched up Lawry was Mark, he is just filling in as Todd Williams and Matt Gibson were not available this week.

Horrible day for football yesterday. I've never played in a hurricane before but it was good to get the win and the cup back

Unfortunately chad went down against the panthers with an anticipated 3rd ACL reconstruction. Everyone at the footy club is devastated and wishes him the best with the coming decisions on where to go from here.

Reserves are travelling very well though, knocking off two of last year's finalists.

Major blow for South's with Heath Lawry out for atleast a month (broken nose, fractured eyesockets). Economou may also miss a few weeks and a few other sore players already this early in the season!

Well in need of the bye...

Hey Quimby, I heard a rumour that you guys and the APFL are going to swap umpires for a round or two during the season, is there any truth to this?
