Professor Crow has done his homework this term with a solid dissection of an underwhelming Pidgeridoo who is already in deep digeridoo in Division II. Unlike the Blackbirds, this Crow soared on the weekend scoring a very solid 2310 to top the league in scoring and the ladder for the first week. Well done SCD perhaps you can be the first Hogg coach to successfully perform 'the bounce' and be promoted back into Division I.

However, before SCD can afford to dream of future glory, much bigger challenges await. Ecky's Fevolas look set to kick on again following an excellent debut season last year. Ecky's scoring wasn't all that flash but he took care of BABB (Big Al's Big Boys) and Ecky will now how hard to bat Al is after coming up against him last year. Destiny's Uncles are currently in career best form and are currently one of the leaders in the Hogg scoring (if not the leader pending other scores) and valleys07's Delicious was dead set stiff to cop a loss at this level with a score of 2229 (don't worry mate I know how you feel! :( ).

TEAM_FISH is also very unlucky as they were trumped by The Bloods who, like Destiny's Uncles are in career best form. Watch out, blink and bazza1 are on the march. Meanwhile, Pidge? Where are you mate?

Just scrapped in v Delicious this weekend. Div 2 is looking like a pretty strong League this year - league ranking as of Rd 3 is 1365.

I have the same headache as many others have also - what to do with Varcoe!

FOOTYLEDGENS made a strong statement this week after falling for around 30 matches over two divisions and two years. After a first up defeat, Cub has racked up an impressive 2331 to smash a competent Toolman combination to announce that the buck stops here and that Cub will not be relegated again. This is a very even competition with at least 17 teams looking like likely finalists with only Pidgeridoo looking out of their depth. For Pidge it is hard to see where a win might come from so the other 17 sides most take full advantage of what looks to be a very even comp.

The match of the round was between two of the highest scoring teams in the Hogg as The Bloods faced off against Destiny's Uncles but The Bloods were forced to cry Uncle as blink got over the line despite both sides scoring less than we have become accostumed to this season. Top ranking after round two go to the SCLSU Mud Dogs who replaced the Professor at number one after handing out a SuperCoach lesson. Delicious look to be this year's Jims Tigerroos as a side that scores well but doesn't win matches. Jim has had this gig for nearly every Hogg season so it is hard to begrudge him a few high scoring wins. Jim more than most knows what it is like to score plenty and end up with a loss.

Yep looks like it's on the cards, particularly with Moloney and Rockliff doing well so far.

Out of the leagues I have covered tonight this league looks about the closest. I reckon 17 teams are in with a chance with Pidge looking a good bet to go through the entire year without a win. Perhaps his best chance will come during the bye rounds when it's carnage everywhere. Jims Tigerroos were the only unbeaten side last week but they had a shocker this weekend and stumbled to sixth place after being thrashed by the Uncles.

Moneybrawl is the new ladder leader after racking up some important percentage over Crab Mustard who is a mile off last year's high scoring efforts that he produced as one of the best teams in Division III. The Crabbies have only one win, over fellow relegation candidate FOOTYLEDGENS and both will need to record a win soon to turn things around.

The team I'm liking in this league is Toolman who once again recorded a solid score when all hell was breaking loose around him. However, there is a lot of footy to be played in this league and remember in this league four go down but only two go up which makes it a very cut throat league.
