Yes.

all of them?

going by 1 of the rumours, he would have fitted in rather nicely at The Bay! (we're dashing......)
Hayes is good entertainment value, plays a good guitar & not too bad a singer! See him at The Lion on most Sundays.....even when his side is playing ;)

Sure they are not recruiting Darren Hayes?

I'd heard about $22K for Hayes but not sure about Slattery.

Central paid that much to palm Hayes off on the Maggies?

All of us other suckers
If Port have got the money to pay for transfers the SANFL should not give them another cent

So if Slattery is about the same amount, $50,000 in transfers and $50,000 fine

$100,000 in debt before the season starts

Could banner be going to North? Ontherails said north are about to sign an ex afl listed player. Robranisgod seems to know a fair bit about him.

No - Banner is not coming to North.

Mitch Banner signed with WAFL club South Fremantle the day before yesterday so is an out for the Magpies, while fellow former Power listed team mate and Eagles aligned player Jarrad Irons has also signed to play in the WAFL, with the Perth Demons.

The Magpies already have a cap on their spending which is below what the competitive sides are spending. Any transfer fees will come out of that capped amount.

I have no idea what the issue is that people have with Port spending money on transfer fees?

Your spend on Salary Cap is the same as the other clubs so where is the disadvantage?

To be honest how much above the $1.3 million allocated by the PAFC to run the Magpies would anyone be able to discover - it would be very easy to hide and write costs with a "shared admin" and the big brother paying for it? Mind you it seems it is the SANFL / AFL that have been funding all of the PAFC to stay afloat in recent years - don't see the other SANFL clubs getting the same deal and a few are in $$$ trouble?

You mean the same kind of "shared admin" between Prospect and Adelaide United?

Just as well North Adelaide had the Rob Gerard money pit to delve into.

Alan Scott ring any bells? Too bad soccer players don't make good footballers.

Don't forget Nick Bianco ... Port would most likely have been insolvent years ago without the financial backing of Scott, Pickard and Bianco.

Is it no wonder the true financial state of the club is now dire after Scott and Bianco have left the scene ...
