If a team pulls out of the Hogg your score will determine if you go up or not. So if BlueGunners says 'thanks but no thanks' next year (highly possible as well I reckon) then the following would happen...

Harrynutts to Division I
Hodges_Heroes to Division II
Hzlwood Pk Cowboys to Division III
FNQ Trotters to Division IV if they have a higher (proven) score than newbie 3
Noel's Caravans to Division V if they have a higher (proven) score than newbie 6

As per the 2011 Hogg Shield election newbies cannot enter the comp any higher than Division IV. Teams will also not be admitted to Hogg Premier League if they have not particpated in Division I. Hopefully we don't lose any Premier League teams this year though as that is a pain in the arse.

Last year a heap of teams pulled out so the simple rule is, you go by your score. This means that a team like Hzlwood Pk Cowboys could get a very quick elevation through the ranks. If this happens they are taking the place of a team that quit, not yours.

Awesome score there eddie. PM me with your email address. I can't put you any higher than Division IV in your first season but if you can keep up that sort of scoring at the very least you'll be in Division III and Champions League in 2014.

You are more than welcome mate. Yep it will be Divvy IV for you next season but if you go well there you could be back in Divvy I as early as the season after. Can be a bit of a bottle neck trying to get from II to I and then Premier as only two go up from II and I. You'll probably see me on the way down!

It's welcome to MAY-Z and a welcome back to Pup as the two coaches who currently hold the Division IV 'newbie' entry slots.

I gave Pup the same score as I got as he was regularly a neighbour of mine on the ladder when he played in the Premier League. This means that for a newbie to get into Divsion IV next season they have to have scored 49410 or better in SuperCoach last season.
