*Hawthorn could have and should have won by 10 goals.
*we have an outstanding coach who the club should be proud of appointing.
*I have watched many Crows games and I can't think of many more efforts better than today. Quality sides win 50/50 games. We won many this year but class always beat ass. Hawthorn are class and the Crows this year showed a plethora of ass........ We made the most of it too.
*Graham Cornes as bigger knob as he is has always said a great side must go through pain before their gain......he's right.
*another coach of mine who posts on these forums also said "your efforts may not be rewarded today, but they will come good keep @ it".

Well done Hawks, better side and if the Crows didn't **** up they'd finish top and the whole system changes.

well said, i think this is the first crows supporter that i've heard in the last 30mins speak the truth. The crows have had a good year and they should be proud of where the club is heading. the umpires didn't cost the crows the game they where beaten by a better side fair and square. there where bad calls either way especially porps flop for a reversal. At the end of the day you look forward to next year and hopefully the club builds on what they have achieved this year. It's amazing what a new coach can do to a club hopefully who ever gets the port job does the same.

The umps actually got the Crows back into it with the Porps reversal which led to a goal

If anyone is wondering why Adelaide hasn't had any luck since those
years, it's because they used it all up IN those years.
HA! =))

keep following those demons pal, how long is it now? 49 years next year with no end in sight?

Thought Van Berlo was great.. lead from the front and shut down the Hawks prime movers!

Not having a match up for Rioli killed them and the crows midfield didnt have the depth to contest with the hawks runners of Mitchell, Sewell, Rioli and co.

Poor effiency by the hawks and clutch goals from Walker and improvement from Tippet almost allowed the Crows to get there. Dangerfield was great in the last quarter, but needs to produce more than one quarter to be a big time player.

Best team won. Can see that bringing the hawks down to earth and they will flog the swans next week.

Also how many prelims have Adelaide lost? Would have been a few?

1993 v Essendon MCG
2002 v Collingwood MCG
2005 v Eagles Subiaco
2006 v Eagles Footy Park
2013 v Hawthorn MCG

Very disappointing to lose but proud of the lads almost pulling off the biggest prelim final upset since 1999

They had 10 more scoring shots so deserved the win but we had an opportunity to knock them off. Reminds me of Geelong's close win over Collingwood in 2007. Prelims can throw up real upsets.

Mr 66 would know about footy Karma after all the biggest footy karma in the history of the AFL is the sacking of John Coleman. Credit to where it's due from experience....

Easy draw and losing the prelim by under a kick to the prelim to a red hot flag fav. Great to see you took 3 mins to sink the wheels in but couldn't take 5 seconds to put your side up in your profile #keyboardheroweakaspiss

Its easy to use the umpires as a scapegoat but the umpiring bar one or two decisions was fine. The main ones that Crows fans are whining about were correct decisions.

In the end Hawthorn were just too good. They got very very lucky and if the match was 30 seconds longer I reckon they might have lost, but in the end they controlled the play, had 70% more inside 50s, 10 more scoring shots, 20 more tackles and in the end it was their own inaccuracy that kept Adelaide in it. They should have won by 40 points. Fair play to the Crows, they so very nearly stole a memorable victory.

Dangerfield had a massive last quarter. Tippett justified his paypacket for the first time this contract. Walker is a star. Otten and Thompson did well defensively. So to Henderson. Callinan found out big time this finals series. Barely saw it in all three games.

Schoenmakers can count himself very lucky. He basically lost the final for Hawthorn last year and so very nearly did that again today. Would have had 7 goals and about 14 marks taken on him and that reversal....what on earth was he thinking?

as a crows follower i persoanally thought we would get thrashed tonight but i was surprised that we led @ half time more surprised that we lead with 4 minutes to go. i know most people will bag the crows but if port had shown half the heart the crows did tonight they would probably not be as as embarrased as they were in 2007. the better side for the nigh won good luck to puopolo and shoemakers next week should be a ripper grand final go the legs @ least

Are you serious. If you actually watched tonights game yo would of seen that the crows have too many passengers and guys that want to take the easy road to glory. How many times tonight did hawthorn players run free because crows players where too lazy to chase. How many times did hawthorn players get free kicks because they attacked the footy and wanted it more then crows players. If the crows won tonight it would of been like port in 2007, played in a grand final they shouldn't of been in. The biggest thing I hate about crows supporters is you go on about Port's low points or blame the umpire's when you have a lost. Stand up and be proud of what the club has achieved this year and look forward to the future.
