Your Norwood friends obviously weren't speaking to you from 2003-2009. Or you can only remember back 2 years.

I can even remember attending matches in 2004, and being told how good Norwood were

We were awesome that year.

Fester.... C'mon. Batsanis was hurt in a tackle, Kane knocked the Norwood hero Gallagher out with a hip and shoulder that 10 years ago would have been lauded... He'll go but it was hardly sniper stuff - the same your beloved Macca handed out for years. In fact, I remember him doing the same thing to Darren Kapler and I bet supporters like you would have loved him for it. Kane will go, I wonder if Cachia and Georgiou will go for their off ball hits on Rowntree and Powell respectively?

I hate the wiggles as much as anyone but I also hate your front running Norwood types. Your one eyedness makes you look silly.

Mate I have missed 8 games and one 1/4 in the past 37 seasons so I don't really think I can be called a "front running Norwood type"!

If thats the case, your initial comments are more one eyed than I gave them credit for... Does it anger you Norwood silver spooners that your most revered player is anything but a silver spooner? Macca did things that were 10 times worse than what Kane did yesterday and you loved him for it. Hypocrites. I hope Central District or West Adelaide wipe the floor with you, that is of course assuming you can field a time by then with sooooo many injuries and being sooooo hard done by and all. (bring on tirade about South Adelaide now...)

There was a time when Dogs fans wanted to win the flag against teams at full strength.

Who and when?

I don't give a hoot, just enjoy winning them.

Enjoying other teams getting injuries doesn't seem to be the Centrals way, but things do seem to have changed in the last couple of years.

Other than a couple of highly debated moments on this forum, I don't think that's true of our supporters.

First thing I didn't understand was bringing in a ruckman for a small. Obviously Redden plays, but either Rae or Culley should have been out given the conditions.

The most frustrating thing was the set up at clearances in the first half. For the first ten minutes the Eagles were able to get first use from Redden and Grieger, but then Norwood clicked on and it took until half time for the Eagles to rectify. I don't know whether it was the coach or players around the ball, but it was blindingly obvious the Eagles ruckman would tap down to the side or 45 degree angle backwards to one Eagles player, who would then be swamped by a rush of 3,4 or 5 Norwood onballers all running in the direction of their goals. In wet weather the Eagles should have set up as they did in the 3rd quarter with Redden banging the ball forward, which gave the Eagles a huge advantage. Despite the Eagles winning the taps easily, we were effectively playing in to Norwood's hands by giving them the momentum of the ball in the first half. 6 goals down at half time and game over. I could not believe it took until half time for the Eagles to work this out. It cost them the game.

Was not good to see a couple of those injuries. Kane's hit in particular was not good.

I was wondering too why we went for an extra tall in the conditions. ALso, wondering about the gameplan in the last quarter, needing to score at the least 4 times when both teams were averaging less than this over the previous three quarters, and we kept trying to play this close-in footy. We needed to open it up, get less players around the ball, and if this meant loosing by an extra 3 goals, then so be it.

I dunno mate, there's a bit of that usual ominous feel that emanates out of Elizabeth like clock work around this time every year .. I know they're probably not at the level of the early 2000's, but it amazes me how many times over the years (say the last 5) everyone predicts the Dogs demise getting close to finals time.

Edited for accuracy .A Norwood official told myself last night batsanis has a fractured fibia and is gone for the year and Gallagher has a broken jaw.

Edited for accuracy. Batsanis told me himself that scans show no break and Gags has a sore head, no breaks.

Did these injuries occur in a foxtel cup game ????
