I understand no one will be dropped this week but if you had been training since last year and continually have him rock up when things are looking good for a flag it would have to bother you if you were a fringe player in either grade.

Exactly my thoughts biffboy, he seems to do it every year, bit funny how he always seems to find time once it gets to the crunch end of the season, just in time to qualify for September
You can t blame him if the club welcome him back with open arms all the time!
Yes I feel for kids/fringe players who might miss out selection because of his inclusion, not a nice place to be put in. Though it would add incentive for them to become better players to avois being the one dropped. At successful clubs there are always these types of selection issues (not always blokes coming in midway, but under other circumstances) where at others not as successful, blokes could play potentially 150+ senior games because they 'bleed' for the club but reality suggests they not that good a footballer. It becomes your preference as to what you want out of your football.
