Bays 16-5 def Victor 9-12.

Set up in the first half by dominating the center clearances, great delivery to welsh and very accurate goal kicking. Victor fought the game out well but were never really in the hunt.

I heard from a good source he isnt finding the footy at all and wants to get back to the dominance he had in the SAAFL...Him and Tommy Caesar look like they have been indulging in too many of Mclaren Vale's finest drops throughout the off season and a struggling for fitness..

Forgive me BW but does this mean that these two blokes went to the eagles as contract players from a club they had been at for a long stint and in preparation got FAT?! If so, hugely poor effort on their part and the eagles should cast them back to mitcham ASAP.

If you're taking this piss but the lads are in poor form its more than liley because the Great Southern is not only a different style but a better standard than div 3,4,5 SAAFL.

Champ, i think you'll find basket weaver is having a bit of fun and taking the piss. Those 2 lads are settled in at Mclaren Vale and won't be leaving to head back to a club that will likely be in division 4 next year. Both have barely missed a session over the whole pre-season and from what i can see are loving their time at a new club!

Pretty big call saying mitcham will be a div 4 club next year. Spoke to a mate that went to there game today and who I watched the smosh mitcham game with last week, and was told they where a completely different side and if they had played like that the week before would of given smosh a big touch up if they had played like they did today. Think you will find they will be playing finals this year.
We're on this journey together, One Heart, One Club and they will Never Ever Tear Us Apart.

Hello... knock knock knock...anybody home???

Luvsfooty/livefooty/damien - Has Zac put the muzzle on you guys or something?
WOW? JJ? limb? Tiger83? kickittome? BJ?
Bays finally look like having a good year, the FF kicks 10 and Baysrule/Gastev etc go quiet? weird.

Despite Creeks slow start it still looks like Willunga and Creeks will again be the teams to beat with Yank still around the mark and Bays a real chance for finals action. 5th spot looks up for grabs to me! Thoughts?

Rumour - another ex-Crow might have a run at the Bays?

No muzzle here. Its just not as fun starting silly rumours and sledging people because I am pretty sure people know who Luvsfooty is.

McLaren were good on the weekend in the senior grades. Out ran us and moved the ball really well. Their skills were the differnce, we turned it over way too much. As much as I dislike the McLaren Crows, the B grade boys coming up for beers at half time in the A's was a good gesture (would have been 20+ blokes). They probably should have been at the beach doing rehab but they chose the drinking option.

Is the crows player heading to the bay Matthew Clarke? He has been semi keen to play country footy the last 2 or 3 years. Should be an interesting match Goolwa v Bays this week. Could get quite willing one would think? Bays would be $1.20 favourites but plenty of interest in this match. Harves will be hoping to play, but facial stitches are hard to protect so there maybe some doubt.

That's the one - don't know how much credence the rumour warrants but that's what I heard.

I'm sure there were plenty of doodah doodahs late saturday night!

I would have given Davis-Neale best for you guys - yes Welsh kicked beautifully but the supply was great and quite often un-defendable, but with 5-0 to 1-3 at quarter time and 9-2 to 2-5 at half time I guess that kicking was pretty important. What was great for Victor was they didnt drop their bundle and kept at it in the second half. With 8 young blokes out there with a total of 23 A grade games between them and the B's looking stronger the future looks pretty bright.

Played for the Eagles in 2010 (mostly reserves I think) so would still be 2 points.

I'm still here 'fod' just a bit depressed at the moment  with our 0-3 start been a long time since this has happened for us. Lets hope things improve this week at compass. Looking forward to seeing mt compass's new spearhead parsons, kicking 12 of there 13 goals last week was a great effort. A few of the new players to the comp this year are impressing early in particular the forwards in welsh, parsons and creeks derham. Derham won the anzac medal last wed night pretty handy pick up for the creek. But the rumour is he is a very fast bowler 145 clicks an hour and might be getting a redbacks contract mid year hence no more footy? Have also heard strong rumours that creek are getting some of there ex glenelg players back soon. Is this true 'limb'? Must have got a bit worried after there early couple of losses.
