REB’s Tips

WLF to win against Backyarders. Pels has already admitted his side is in trouble.
Killer Wombats! Should be too good for last placed Goonies.
The Sunny Palm Pilots are currently scoring well enough to beat THE BLOODS.
Early bolter Crab Mustard FC to to smash BlueOwlOde
The Willies to provide stiff opposition for Holland’s Heros and record a victory.
Harrynutts to defeat Pump up ze Jams. Tough early draw for Luke has him in a jam.
Lodgelads12 to sneak over the line against FridayKnightFool.
Trader to open their account this season at the expense of The Cat Empire.
TEAM_FISH to remain unbeaten with a win over The Baby Giraffes.

Looking like it's worked too.

The predictor now has you winning by 9pts.
You've got a 13pt lead and Hargrave vs my Cooney.

In one for the stats nerds out there the top eight teams from last week all won which means that pre-season favourite WLF was the only round one loser to open their account for the season this week. The Killer Wombats! haven't exactly racked up the points this season but a soft draw has them sitting pretty at the head of the table but plenty of other teams are circling.

Well done to TEAM_FISH who are absolutely on fire at the moment. I'm hoping I don't play them too soon because I haven't seen this level of form from them before. Save that stuff for the Wombats Fishy! In other matches my game against Trader was never in doubt as I kicked his arse by 8 points. ;) Lodgelads12 had an even closer match than that as he got up by four points over FridayKnightFool. Harrynuts got some form of revenge by defeating his Bunny Bowl Grand Final conquerer Pump up ze Jams and Goonies looks to be in real trouble as their advisor is out of the top eight so no help there.

An interesting comp already with Trader, The Fools and WLF all looking to barge their way into the top eight. Which of the current teams can stay there that is the question.

Bad week under 2000 for me.

Had a donut with the late out of Cognilio.

Not so sure my premiums/rookies strategy is going to work :(

REB's Tips Round 3

Numbers in brackets indicate players used. If a team has played their captain then that captain is counted twice so I don't have to point out who has used their skipper and who has not. My tips in bold.

Backyarders (612/5) seem to have the Goonies covered (431/4)
The BLOODS (235/2) are averaging 117.5 per player so far which gives them a chance at overhauling WLF (635/6).
BlueOwlOde (687/5) should be good enough to knock the Killer Wombats! (428/4) off top spot this week.
Sunny Palm pilots (505/5) v The Willies (913/9) is going to be a real close one. Past form has me leaning towards the Sunny Boys.
Holland's heros (343/3) has started well enough to upset the lodgelads (413/4)
Trader (589/6) has stumbled tonight and I reckon Harrynutts (397/4) can get the chocolates.
TEAM FISH (503/5) is going from strength to strength and should beat the FridayKnightFools (337/4)
My Cat Empire (182/2) look a long way off the pace but the Baby giraffes (408/5) are only averaging 81 a player so I think I can win this one.

I reckon you're right REB, after yesterdays results the Predictor has me winning comfortably:

TEAM_FISH: 193points + Lewis + Birchall + Martin + Cox
FridayKnightFools: Deledio + Porplyzia + Thompson + Tippett

Things could get very messy for the Fridays if Porplyzia is a late withdrawal as he has no Emergency backup.

My team is an absolute mess this week, luckily the Giraffes are even worse.

So far I've managed to avoid most of the donuts this week (touch wood), but geez I've hit a lot of the average 60's type scores this week.

My bottom 10 only put out 497 pts, what a joke!
Waite 75, Clarke 69, Kreuzer 64, Coniglio 64, Milera 64, Goddard 58, Treloar 53, Drummond 30, Smith 17, Smedts 3
