Seems the majority of us mention strath as a club that may drop off every year but they always cover their losses. They would have been top 3 for 10 consecutive years?? They'll be there again

IIRC Strath dropped out of the 5 in 2004 or it could have been 2005.

However there would be a lot of clubs in the league that wished they had Straths record over the last 10-15 years......no doubt they'll be at the pointy end again this season

strath have won 2 flags and lost 5 over the last 15 years whats so impressive about that....

strath have won 2 flags and lost 5 over the last 15 years whats so impressive about that....

2 flags, 5 runners up = 7 grandfinals. Don't know overly a lot about the league but I reckon a fair few clubs wouldn't mind playing in 1 or 2 grand finals in 15 years. I would take a guess without knowing any results, that if their A grade have been this strong over 15 years, it probably filtered through to their B Grade and colts as well. I may be wrong.

Victor went down by 3 goals against Morphett Vale which was good considering they were down by about 7 at one stage. Few holes down back and rely heavily on Iljceson up forward but Hodge destroyed it in the middle.

Also heard from one of the Meadows boys that Yank touched them up by about 10 goal.

Meadows did lose the first three quarters convincingly. Tho they did have their A grade cricket team in the GF today, so alot of numbers out. Yanks midfield pressure and breakaway did look good tho

Any GSFL clubs looking for a juniors and senior colts trial this Saturday at Goolwa Oval PM me. I heard a few have been getting forfeits and cancellations. We wont be doing this, would have a full compliment, We havent go one on so keen to do so, even with this late notic.

Hey LF any news on the goolwa v mt compass (oops i mean mt barker go?). Would have been a good deck to play on out at cornerstone college.

Cornerstone is a really nice deck and it's good not having a scoreboard because the damage been done is less noticeable. Maxfield the was best compass player, Fromm didn't to a lot but was ok, obushak I reckon only played the last quarter and cheetham ran water. They were way too good for us but thats what we wanted. I think last year playing some weaker teams got us a bit too confident leading in to round 1

So the Durdins are staying at Yank & not heading to Tassie. Does this have anything to do with Gordon & Perry moving to Victor? Did Victor move Jureck on to fit these 2 in? Anyway Victor have 2 gun forwards, will they return them too the Glory days of Gibbs & Shiel?

Move Jurek on? Not many point problems at Victor wow. I believe Jurek joined the ever growing list of guys working in oodnawoopwoop and he wasnt lucky enough to score flights with it. Perry/Gordon? Dunno - perhaps playing under Lewis isnt much fun?

Well done to Victor. Recruiting a couple of good players to bolster their side is a good thing. Especially if Boyd and Brown dont return from their efforts at the Dogs and Panthers respectively.
