I've been flat out over past few days.
I understand he got one game, so we appealed?

Thiele, he played a fair bit of reserves this year and then about 2 months ago he got concused from memory. Couldn't really find the form that saw him playing reserves but he has been playing Under 18's the last few weeks and in fact was named in the best 3 players for Central's Under 18's against North last weekend.
Would still be training with the reserves squad who play an Elimination Final on Saturday against Sturt with no doubt a chance of coming into the selected side.

Hayes will be ok, another fortnight on the track with a game under his belt, with his experience and versatility I don't have a problem with him having a poor second semi. Ditto Havelberg if he's able to get the hammy right. I thought Dunne was probably on the cusp anyway with Spurr and Gowans coming back in. Habel played pretty well I thought, was probably the other. His game has often been plagued by decision errors but he was much better on Sunday. Not as prolific in terms of posessions, but I'd rather 12 very good touches than 22 poor ones.

Now that we know Sutherland and Hayes will be available do people think there will be any changes?
Both Hayes and Havelberg looked very much short of run against Norwood and were probably the Dogs two worse players on the day, and tall only key forwards on the day as well.
Thomas Dunne should be fit this week and may even play reserves, could he force his way into the league?
A bag of goals to Damien Hynes would definatly put pressure on Lairdy with Havelberg who is short on match fitness, out of form and probably still not 100% fit?
Reichart is the other bloke who may come into the side depending on who the opponent is and whether or not Templeton will be right in a fortnights time.

I agree with all this plus I'd add that Spurr while OK was not at top form having been out for so long. It looked to me that Havelberg was not 100% fit. He missed goals that he normally would have nailed and I suspect that it was because he was hampered by injury. The medical and coaching staff would be well aware of this and doing everything they can to get him up for 9 October.

I would rather have Hynes play all game & kick 1 or 2 goals & contest every contest, than risk Havelberg again, only for Him to get injured & then We are 1 man down.

Not sure about that Centurion - I agree that Hynes is more than capable of coming in and doing a job, the trouble is his hammies are just as bad as Berger's so it comes down to who is more of a risk on the day I guess.
Would love to see Dunne in the side as well, however cant see who he would replace other than maybe Habel, who I agree has done everything asked of him and deserves his spot.
Interseting hearing Roy on AA Monday night when asked, "will there be heartbreak at selection?" - Roy answered emphatically...."Yes"

I hope not, but his injury struggles must be wearing on him. I'd be happy to see him take a year off to get his body right but he's too good and too young to give league footy away altogether.
