Not sure of the final crowd figure but, as it usually does here at Coopers, it really built up as the game started.

Will try and get the official figure, but I think there would have been at least 5,000 patrons here in Norwood.

cant agree with u on the umpires today BP. they were sh!t, missed free kicks, forgot what holding the ball was and loved a 25m penalty...

Ports skills were down after qtr time again and couldnt stop norwoods midfield gaining control and spent the rest of the game chasing dark blue jumpers around

I never said the umpires were good mickey but I did make mention that today, they seemed to let that holding the ball (playing diving on the ball / dragging it in) to the point of ballign it up more often than not.

I thought the umpires were okay but not great today. I have seen worse than what was on display today.

That's putting it mildly. We were crap today and still won. Would have lost if the kicking for goal was down.

Funny, I read a post from a Port supporter saying Port couldn't stop Norwood's midfield. I thought the exact opposite. I would think the centre clearances would have been heavily weighted in Port's favour. Just shows how two people can see things differently.

Norwood missed Campbell and Doyle today, a lot more than I thought we would. We got the points, but that's about all I'm taking from it. Norwood need a huge lift all over the ground if we are going to worry anyone in finals.

Agreed. I've seen a LOT worse, but the standard of umpiring isn't great. The number of times they miss an obvious one, then pull one out that nobody has seen, it's just frustrating.

Played crap and still won.
With other results Centrals and Norwood guaranteed finals.
Thought our midfield was mostly average today and our defenders quite poor. Our forwards did well for the ammount of ball they got.

Norwood rubbish.

Umpires rubbish (stop ruining the game. How was that free and 50 to Davis in Q1 when both attacked the ball?!).

2 points, but whatever.

Umpiring was crap but was only metres from that first free and 25m to Davis and the Port defender raised his elbow and hit Davis. Even the old Port man next to me agreed and said he wouldnt be surprised if the MRP had a look at it

No credit to Port, who I thought were pretty good except the lapse in the 2nd term?

Was the HTB interpretation an SANFL directive did these 3 decide not to pay it?

They were fierce at the ball and tried hard but their skills are average, too many miskicks and turnovers. Score flattered them, we relaxed and played defensive crap in last quarter when we should of buried them

Or we could have kept up our work rate from the 1st qtr and been even further in front at the break...

Both didnt happen, and makes it hard for us to make the 5 now after losing games we should have won at home

True. Your work rate was great first qtr, our guys were lazy and second to ball on too many occassions. The turning point was Meikeljohn being stupid and getting himself benched, in the time he was off we put on 6 goals, young judd couldnt hack the pace and Dawe and Rowe came into the game

Was surprised at how poorly Eagleton played today, 7 touches and seaguling most of the day..

Especially the effort in the 3rd when Pfeiffer i think was in the clear and running towards goal and Eagleton ran 30m, cutting him off demanding a handball that ended up at his feet. would have thought the better play would have been to run with and apply any shepards or blocks that was needed
