I think you will find that his problems for leaving Cove are off field matters. At one point last year Cove had a forum on thier web site that got closed down due to the crap it caused about him.

If he learns to play footy, he would be far to good for this grade.

Gee with all the talk about this bloke anyone would think he's the greatest fullback since Silvagni...obviously people underrate some of the forwards in Div 7, Boxhead show this to Big Barnesy and see what he says.

I sure will Riddler. Ill print it and give it to him tonight.... And now that he is skip, he will have a point to prove :D
Hey Box wasdissapointed to read the bunyip today and there was no mention of the dust up in the write up of the game. Id think a 20 week suspension would have at least got a mention

I heard a little wisper that CLG may have played a Trial Game Tuesday Night. Is this correct Scott? Was it internal or against opposition?

My mail is Trinity might struggle this year. Their gun CHF Hawkes is unlikely to pull on the boots and their Best and fairest from last year is also considering not playing.

Hawkes is a gun if he doesn't play that would leave a massive hole....who are their other recruits, have heard nothing except the ruckman from Elizabeth?

I don't think there are amny new recruits. None of note, other than the big fella from Elizabeth. Hawkes is a huge loss and if their B+F (Hill) doesn't play it will leave a very inexperienced side.

Didn't know Hilly won their B&F if him and Hawkes don't play that's easily their best 2 players gone which all of a sudden leaves them very vulnerable....Dogwatcher is in the know down there, what's the go mate?

Don't be silly Carey.....

I just know too many people in too many competitions....plus my work means I have to be interested in at least three local footy competitions.

As for what's happening at Trinity, I'm not really sure. I'll find out a heck of a lot in a couple of weekend's time.

Is St Paul's going to send a spy over our way on the day of their trial against Cobby?

if and i did say ' IF ' rosewater and wingfield were to merge it would make for a bloody good div 7 team one you would think would win with ease ' IF ' they were to merge .
winfield are going great guns tho. so i'm not sure that there is any fact in the merge i know that brodie jessup and chris newman are very happy with the way things are going there so yeah not sure maybe bradman can shed some light on it as you have freinds in rosewater dont you ? maybe you can dig some dirt up . about all i'v heard is there were a few going with dogleg to ardrossen and a few others going back to woody souths ( jeb and co. i believe) but thats all i know .

Someone told me Jeb had trained at North Haven. I dont think they would stay in D4 - would Wingies want to come up that far ? From all reports, Rosewater are broke, so surely Wingies have all the bargaining power (if a merge happens, that is).

Dutchy i think you know more than what you are letting on....don't hold out on us son :)
I'm with Bradman though if they did merge they would have to stay in Div 4, but we are talking about the amateur league here where common sense does not always prevail.

Well well well - 3 holes in the ground!
Lets think out loud here boys, Rosewater would never amalgamte and go to Div 7, Wingfield could not make the leap that high and the ameature league have nowhere inbetween to stick em both.
In short, bullshit rumour that cant happen 07. Only way it could happen in the near future is for Rosies to fold completely and then get taken over by Wingfield - that wont happen.
If this were even slightly true then imagine the after game drinks and the family days!

Can someone please get on here and explain where this all came from, all Rosie's have to do is go back to paying players in weed (rumour has it) and there finances will be fine.
