What's in the mix. I think the best surf and turf sauce has squid and prawns minimum. Don't really like actual fish in there, but some sauces I have seen have had whiting.

I used raw prawns, simmered them in butter then added the sauce once they started to go pink, simmered them in the sauce til they were ready to go, I added a bit of cornflour to thicken it up a little, I wont do that again though as I don't mind the chips sitting in the flavour for a bit.
I was surprised, the sauce had a slight cheesey taste to it aswell.

Yep, prawns is fine. As long as its got a decent garlic zing, I'm all about it.

Yep, prawns is fine. As long as its got a decent garlic zing, I'm all about it.

It did mate, I had some cloves, minced garlic and garlic powder for the next run just incase, I think it sufficed without these though.

My weekend, had a nice weekend with the family, got 8 in my footy tips which should put me in front in the tipping comp that I'm in and my old man rang me out of the blue to ask me if I want a car that he brought but has no use for. It's nothing special but heaps cheaper to run for me, just gotta get used to driving a manual, I've never owned one and never been shown how to drive one, I got to work though so I must've done ok.

State Of Origin being televised at 9.30pm, instead of 10.30pm. Still a 3 hour delay but at least I'll get to bed before midnight!

Playing a "Friendly" game of footy on the Queen's Birthday Monday, and not snapping either ACL. The fact that I can't lift my left arm above shoulder height is a slight issue, but the doctor assures me it is only a "Soft Tissue" injury.

The game was arranged by the church I go to, Crows fans v The rest of the AFL, and even with the Rest of the AFL having 4 players over 37 (I'm one of them) we still beat those young whipper snapper Crows fans...

Great fun, can't wait for next years re-match...

wish they just had the sauce as a standard item i could buy
i used to like the one from cafe primo which came has a solid form in a circle then melted...
