Where did I at any stage suggest that the reason the game was so close was because of the umpires?? Centrals didn't play well today and North didn't let them. They ran the ball better from the backlines.

I'm also not saying the frees that Allan gets aren't there, it's just other players do not get the same frees that he does. A bit like Judd in the AFL. I thought in the first quarter Centrals got some soft frees. The umpiring was just terrible in general.

Also good to see Nick Gill have a go at a North Spectator when he was walking the boundary during a rest. He obviously didn't like the advice that the guy gave him. I'm not being sarcastic here either. There is no need for supporters to bag their own players in that way. Before anyone has a go I'm sure there are plenty of Centrals supporters that do the same.

This would have to be the biggest departure from reality that i have seen on this thread so far. Or did you mean to say, "first to receive the ball"?

What have you been smoking? Have you ever heard of Tony Dey or Richard Williams? [-x
Man, I thought I had heard everything but this takes the cake. The umpire hasn't been born who ever favoured Central. And did you hear the boos today's White Maggots received from the home crowd, which also happened to be the winning team's supporters. Biggest and loudest boo I can remember hearing for "umpires" in a LONG time.

North very impressive in the second half with Alleway outstanding. Took the game on by playing on at all costs and had players running and creating options. The Dogs run stopped and in the end they were lucky to win as either side were a chance with minutes remaining.

I have to say that the umpiring was bewildering though. Intentionally or not, the umpires gave the impression that they were emotionally involved in the game and wanted to reward the plucky underdog at all possible opportunities. Now don't get me wrong - if a side is making the front running they deserve the frees if they are there. But there is NO excuse to then not pay the frees the otherway if they are glaringly obvious.

For a while there we had a situation where the game was being over umpired with technical, ticky touchwood frees for one side, yet at the same time a "put the whistle away" approach when the other side were infringed upon.

OK - maybe I was seeing it through red, white and blue eyes. Would be interested if any Rooster supporters felt they got a ride in the latter part of the game?

Honourable loss North Adelaide? What ever way you look at it 2 points to the dogs and sweet FA to the Mickey cut in halves. Always sweet beating our reserves side.

C'mon bring it on.

North played the worse half of SANFL football i have seen in the 25 years i have watched SANFL football. Central did not put them away and they made us pay in the 3rd quarter. Thank F**K we won!!!!!!!

2 points nothing less nothing more, that is what we do to average sides at the Beff Oval!!

Would comment on Allans first five possesions but we would argue forever.

The PA system was shite, as was the warm beers they didnt serve til 1:30!!

Thank F**K the CDFC can play football

Well what about Allans other 25 possies. Good to see you are sticking to your guns and laying off the grog.

No comments on how playing in the Foxtel cup has hurt sides. Maybe because you will have to admit you were wrong. ;)

All i will say is on todays performace he was average per possesion!

He can play though and without him North are 5 goals worse off.

Honestly i cant believe we nearly loss to that rubble!

Some of Laird, Chaplin and Platten's faces when North were coming back were priceless.

If we play like that against Norwood next week will we loose by 69 points.

I have seen the 2011 SANFL wooden spooner!

Thank F**k for the Corporate Box

That's great. North nearly beat the top side, yet I think 1 Centrals supporter has given North any credit.

What do you expect TSG? Everyone knows the only reason why Central don't win every game by a million points is because the umpires are cheats and because the Dogs take things easy.

Full credit to North on their game after qtr time. Francou gave them a spray at qtr time and they responded. How good was Alleway today. Central, well we just grinded away after qtr time and were very lucky to come away with the 2 points. That is all. Best players for the Dogs Eddie, Gunston (5 goals) and Pumpa sutherland.

p.s umpiring was absolute deplorable.

Sorry North were absoultly brilliant today!

Central had to be at their absolute best to win today!

Jimmy Allan is the best player outside the AFL!

I cant belive North are bottom they should be in the top 3 nevermind the top 5!

Based on todays performance provided we turn up we will beat Norwood next week

The Foxtel Cup has clearly run North into form!
