I don't see how cutting off the betting at 9.30 is "putting the punters first"
Not including pick up rides in a jockey totals is an intresting idea that probably has some merit
The whole unpredictability is why i like JC betting

Having a go at....

Quinn ($14) at Gosford - Brown wayyyyy too short.
Butler ($21) at Rocky - Would've been keen on Coome at $4, but even money, no thanks.

Got to keep a lid on it til Tues.
But the weights for the race just came out, and if it handles a bit of travel (which I'll find out on the day) it is very, very, very hard to see it being beaten.

T Berry wins the first

The changes to the JC are not the answer.... we all know the unpredictability of the bet and closing the bet at 9am (SA time) will cost the TAB a lot of revenue.

We have all been burnt or benefited from late scratrchings/pick up rides/jocks not making weight (any reason for that matter). We place the bets knowing the current rules. LEAVE IT THE WAY IT IS!

What about stewards not allowing betting on the winning margain of a particular horse eg So You Think in the Cox Plate.... 0-1/2 L, 1/2 L - 1L ect..... they say the final winning margain can be altered to much by the jockey
