Wow. Nice work Eagles, have been largely forgotten about this season and are now in a Prelim.

Where to from here for the Bays? Be a very detailed post mortem I would imagine and can't see them not cutting someone loose, whether that be players or coach remains to be seen I suppose.

I think the ABC said it has been 9 years since the qualifying final loser lost the following week.

I dunno if it was just me but Glenelgs performance lacked a bit of ticker today. Eagles just wanted the footy more. Poor lad knocked out in front of me epitomized that endeavour. Nut over the ball. Courageous stuff

Great win Eagles, driving back from Melbourne I only got radio coverage from when the Bays were 4 goals to zip up and it made me wonder what the hell happened early in the first quarter.
Great call Phil Herden and Chris Kendall too.

Oh dear! I think I said that last week too! More fun this week since I am at a function at the GFC with a mate who is a 1986 bays premiership player! I won't mention what he thinks about the coach!

Huge win for the Eagles.

Straight sets again for Glenelg. Bitterly dissapointing I imagine.

Not much point in making finals when you put up performances like that.

Last year it was good play but bad kicking.

This year it was simply poor football. Very disappointing indeed. I couldn't make it today, turned off halfway through the third quarter as I couldn't bear to hear the Eagles play with the breeze in the last...soft!

Two straight sets in a row - doesn't get much more painful than that.

What happened to the Bays?????
Disappointing.

Hopefully Lewy can get up for the Eagles for next week. I'm doubtful though.

Hentschel and Welsh have been very valuable additions.

Going on the way the Eagles played last week, I think Sturt has a better claim to the chokers tag that the Bays. Argue the point all you wish, but it remains that you and your tribe are the ones who will be watching next week's finals from your lounge rooms.

From 1st to 4th in 2 weeks is a bigger choke than going from 5th to 5th in the same time

Bah, really hoping the Bays would go a bit further this time. But when the eagles woke up in the second term the writing was on the wall. Please not another eagles v Dogs GF!

Well done to the eagles board for head hunting Mick Godden I think it is fair to say he has been a success story this year. Be great for the comp to see a eagles V norwood GF.
