Not sure if its been mentioned but in the Messenger it was announced that Mick "Ratsy" Irvine was announced as A Grade Footy coach for 2007.
Onya Ratsy, a top bloke and everyone will play their heart out for him, Im assuming he no longer coaches the Cricket club too?
What an amazing club man.
Had my run ins with the man at various issues but have the utmost respect for him and when he played a C Grade game of footy with me was the first bloke to congratulate me on my first (and only) goal despite having a run in with me the previous cricket season.

Just wanted to ask does anybody know who are the 2007 coaches (A Grade) in the SFL for all the clubs? Also is Barry Pilmore still involved at all in the SFL?

At least he is a footballer, big unit, nice bloke. His main reason would be a few mates at club/ fresh start. Rugby, soccer, Over 40's, U18'S have been making up the A grade side for last 5 years.

Harmans are 19 and 21 years old, yet to hit prime I would think

im not having a crack at the harmans mate i know both of them just saying it must have been a big step up for them compared with what they were playing how have they been going i heard tyler was having some grief with his shoulder

Tyler will be ok this year. We used him as a key position player last year at CHF or CHB, a lot of pressure for a young bloke in this league. He'll be able to play on a flank or pocket, most of our FWD line is over 6 ft 2 so he'll be Ok. He goes in pretty hard and is full of enthusiasm, great mark and leap.

The girls round the club think he's ok!!

Heard the Shoes picked up about a few Blackwood players, They must love Southern (Blackwood).

I'm glad to pick up any footy player that trains and hangs around for a beer after, A or B Grade.

Yeah both Steads, Thiele, Both Harmans, Both Leschke's (Blue is getting cult status in the B's), McCormick, Baldoch, Blucher, Chris (plumber, can't remember his last name), Joel Templer (may be in Melbourne?)

No worries, money is such a hot topic ATM. I'm not worried what anyone gets paid. If it helps me enjoy my footy and brings a better social side to the club I say pay em. We've had to have a culture change and lose a few chips on shoulders. The thing I like is the new blokes are good socially and it's starting to look like a day care centre on Saturdays. I have a baby and is good for the wife socially too, other family's, not just the player. You have to look at the whole picture, not just a dollar figure.

Happy wife = happy life
I'll most likely play B grade and not get paid (unless BOG). Upside is I'll have a beer watching A's. :D
