Hey mate, a loss doesn't mean the end of Smithfield's season, 3 winnable games after this week could see them finish on 18, BOS & Havens away with Rosies at home, tough but winnable.
The way I see it, if the TAB had odds on each game and we were to pencil in the favourites of each game it would look like the Valleys, Rosies and Smithies would all end up on 18, the Valleys have the toughest run home after this week.
Lutheran could be the side to shape the finals, after knocking off Elizabeth at Argana in the front nine you would have to give them some sort of hope at home, they are capable of matching it with Plympton aswell.
I'm not being biased, just making an observation, if the Valleys can knock off one of the two front-runners it will pretty much put an end to Smithfield and Rosewater, a big game at Argana this week, it would give us a big psychological edge going into the next game.

I see your point but if teams above you keep winning then it will make it very hard as a loss to elizabeth this week would see you 2 games out of the 5 with 3 games remaining. So yes you are correct doesn't technically mean the end but not far from it!

Neither Valleys or Plymtpon have an easy run home, playing each other, Heccies and the Lodge, as 3 of our last 4 are at home, we'd expect to get a least 2 of those as a win, or even better, an away win at Plympton.

Lizbeff, on the other hand have a dream run home playing the bottom 3 sides and have a real possibility of snatching 3rd.

Sadly, them's the facts. (and we cross our fingers and hope for a s-load of upset games to work out in our favour ;)

Hopefully for us that one of them upsets occurs at Hope Valley oval this Saturday, that would certainly throw the cat amongst the pigeons. I don't envy your run home, at least you should be finals hardened if you make it.

:( The Smithfield vs Rosewater game is the big one for both clubs IMO. At least you have Heccies and The Lodge at home, it should give you some benefit.

vs Smithfield @ Argana Park- One of the games of year IMO, this game could give us an indiction of things to come as we head towards the latter part of the season and the finals.

Brahma Lodge vs Blackfriars @ Brahma Lodge- BL by alot.

Adelaide Lutheran vs Plympton @ South Parklands- Battle of the bulldogs. Plympton should win but I won't surprised if AL get up.

Hectorville vs Rosewater @ Daly Oval- Heccies too strong at home.

Hope Valley vs North Haven @ Hope Valley- Don't think we have every played there before, so I'm really interested to see what the grounds like. If if we manage to stick 4 quarters together and play like we did against BL we are a real chance of causing an upset.

Unfortunately it does get quite muddy.

I guess that can be expected when 16 junior teams play/train on it too but I guess you wouldnt have that problem hey US?

How's Rhett Quinllivan going out at Rosies. Seen his name in the best in B's a few times. Is he close to a call up. Good lad and a good player IMO.
