Rumour has it that Eddie V has been watching a little too much UFC lately and was seen to take on the whole smithfield side....the word thug had been bandied around by some......Just checked the UFC web site and I swear I saw him there. Is that you Eddie V?

these 25m's for "crowd or spectators" are getting pandemic..what is the exact ruling on this..as in..what rule are they calling on to give 25m penalties..is there even a rule or are we being hoodwinked?

I think they are just making the rules up!

21.1 A 25-metre penalty may be enforced by a field umpire(s) where an umpire deems it to be applicable as per Law 18.1 of the Laws of Australian Football.

18.1 Where a field Umpire has awarded a Free Kick or a Mark to a Player, the field Umpire shall also award a Fifty-Metre Penalty in favour of that Player if he or she is of the opinion that any Player or Official from the opposing side:

So unless every spectator is deemed to be an official, the answer is they can't do it. Unless of course the SAAFL hasn't updated their rules and regs.

Been umpiring forn 15 yrs and never have or never will give a 25m because the crowd gets up me

This is going around in circles! Of course I knew he wasn't calling me gay, I was simply trying to make a point. I posted what I thought was an interesting post of my analysis of the top of the B grade table and my predictions for the rest of the season. The banter was started by another member.

Im not offended by what was said (Ive been called a lot worse in my personal and sporting life) and Im pretty sure he was NOT offended by what I said in return.

Im not sure how Ive "slagged off" any club? By saying that he is dreaming to make the finals???
