He may be complaining, but the powers at the club would rather be involved in blockbusters, which they asked to be involved in, rather than play lesser games at Etihad in front of 30-40k.

Unfortunately, that involves playing the top sides twice Mick. Bad luck.

the Schedule will never be "fair".

The only "fair" to do it is (17 teams)- 24 games
Play all other sides once (16 games)
Play 8 sides again (8 games)

the following year, the other 8 sides are face twice, so the schedule running over 2 seasons, has each team play each other 3 times.

Using Collingwood as an example, the non-travel issue (read: myth) is dispensed, but it also allows them to potentially play a bottom side twice in a year, but could cost the AFL lost revenue (boo-hoo) with less "blockbuster" games.

There is no solution with this that pleases all clubs, let alone their supporters.
Splitting the AFL into "conferences" ( :vom: ) is not an option, as neither is a 32 game season.

For those who whinge about the scheduling- put forward a solution, or shut-up.

This is the best option IMO, but the AFL wont have it because it screws up their regular blockbusters, nor will several bitching clubs. Imagine the Crows or Power accepting a season with only one showdown?

I think it was on this forum someone mentioned that it's not a draw, it's a fixture and it's called that for a reason, it's fixed.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

I reckon the Pies should play all 22 games at the MCG and play Carlton four times, Richmond six times and Essendon 5 times. Then when they 'qualify' for the top four they can get belted by 12 goals in the Prelim Final by the real finalists.

In other words, not too much different as to what is happening now...........

Their blockbuster fatigue usually sets in and starts to show around finals time.

Until such time as they can post decent attendance figures for them again, I reckon there should only be the 1 per year.
