I wouldnt mind knowing why you can't have a quick run behind the goals before the game, was that an umpires thing or a plympton thing? I've seen other teams do it.

I must admit the game for mine wasn't much chop to watch, i ended up going down the pub to put a few bets on and didnt see the last 20 or so minutes.

They do a good job on ladies day don't they, a lot of hard work by the organisers, one thing i'd love to see is an invite out to the opposition club a couple of weeks before hand so the opposition chicks can have a great day out as well.

Plympton A grade got up in a hard fought game.....

Personally i was rapt by the smithfield people in the club rooms after the game... From a Plympton official i wish to say thank you...

Totally agree wub12, great effort by Smithy 2's, at times played some good running footy all be it 14 on the ground.. I came back late to the club and was good to see Smithfield people having a beer in our club. Well done Smithies and Good win for the A's. Go Dogs

Thanks fella's, always good to see some positive feedback, after playing there on ladies day last season I think the boys will always be keen to pop their heads into your club ;) .
What was the go with our A's not being allowed to do some run-throughs behind the eastern goals, it's the only available space in the vicinity and the reason behind it was poor. It cost us the game LOL.
You guys simply played better than us, the intensity showed by both teams was excellent and a great advertisement for div. 5 footy. Vanderhaark was superb up forward (I did think he was lucky on a couple of occaisons to get away with a bit of a push-out, but that's footy).
Your club's hospitality and the majority of your supporters are very welcoming for a visiting side, apart from never winning there I always have a good day out there.

You're umpire told our umpire to ask them to move as the Plympton coaching staff said it was distracting. They were on the gravel so I couldn't see that it was any problem along with being a million goals up.

Elizabeth v Brahma Lodge
Smithfield v Adelaide Lutheran
Rosewater v Hope Valley
Blackfriars OS v Hectorville
North Haven v Plympton

3 massive game that could shape the 5 this week. 2nd V 3rd will be a great contest. If elizabeth can hold knock of Brahma this week they will close the gap on 2nd spot to 2 points and look for a home final.
Smithfield (6th) take on Lutheran (8th) in what is a do or die battle for the bulldogs. If they lose here I would almost declare their season over. A win and they go to 10 points and on level terms with smithfield.
Last match is 4th (Valley) V 7th (Rosewater). If Rossies can take the win here and all results go the way I have selected them then there will be 4 teams tied on 12 points at the end of this round. On the other hand if Valley can win this game they will keep that little bit of breathing space with a pretty tough run home.

Its going to be a very tight and congested top 5 this year with percentage playing a massive part in who plays in september and who dosen't.

Good luck to all side besides Elizabeth this week.

If that is correct then that sounds a little bit poor.

Your right, plympton were about 20 goals up, can't see how distracting that would be, and at the end of the day it is only B Grade footy and the A Grade should be allowed to have a warm up if they want to.

Going back a few years ago I woke up Monday morning to a barrage of phone calls as there was a full page picture of my wife and I at the footy in the Advertiser, we joked about the same thing, we were meant to take the kids that day though, so we did get caught out slightly.

Hope valley followed by Plympton week after

Will decide whether we play finals or not in those 2 weeks

to good for our lads on the weekend bradman. plenty of improvement since the earlier encounter this year and also late last year. will cause some troubles in the finals imo.

supporters next to the 'bee tree' enjoyed their afternoon and couldn't help asking what it was like to get relegated and that we were making history. bit early for that call in round 11 i would have thought.
