I'm sure they will turn it around in the 2nd half of the year.

plympton keep the result , strange but true, i suppose that means the name of competition needs to change to remove the amateur .

Smithfield over North Haven by 104 points today. It was a disgraceful performance by us, clearly our worst performance of the year so far. To put up a performance like that is very dissapointing. We has a handful of better players and the rest were simply passengers.

Can't take anything away from Smithfield though, they were super. Joss and the gang will certainly be very happy with their performance. And speaking of Joss, he played a super game, he certainly is a very, very good footballer. I have no idea why we didn't tag him- we clearly should of.

Well done to the B grade getting up by 4 points. From what I saw it was a very good game.
Also to the C's winning by 9 points against Flinders Park after coming from a 32 point deficit at three quarter time, well done. We now of course have next week off and I'm sure the lads will enjoy the break and come back fresh to face Blackfriars in round 10.

Lightning it was good to meet you, I'm sure you are wrapped with your A grades performance.

On more of a lighter note, I never been at a football match were at quarter time someone does a massive snakie down the road near the oval. That is something I never expected to see at a game and now I have.

Another close defeat to plympton after leading for 3 and half quarters boys were gutted after the game have let so many close ones slip by. They now know 2nd half of year must win at least 5 of last 9 to have any chance of finals. It was a strange game y day both sides very defensive looked like neither team wanted to really take the game on, heccies back 6 did a good job on the dogs dangerous forwards with
Both teams defenses on top for most of game. Dogs looking forward to elizabeth next game with most players back from injury no more excuses

Plenty of carnies to eh Custard!

If you haven't seen cars doin' snakies down the road during a game - you ain't played out north enough (or enough in the country for that matter!).

fido i think if you can get to 9 wins plus good percentage then you will probably make it. cos everyone is capable of winning on any given day, 5th spot will be achieved with less wins than any normal year imo. top two spots seem to be clear cut unless something unforseen happens to those sides. double chance 3rd spot wide open with any of 6 sides able to reach it. as is 4th and 5th. blacks need to string some wins together now or the unthinkable will happen joining havens in div 6. all set up for a fantastic second round and the teams who can get and keep their best sides on the park will be the ones to make it. thanks to brahma lodge for their fantastic hospitality yesterday, and talking to carey and a committeeman post match they have brahmas on the right track on and off the field, which i agree with. their crowd were very good also and all three games played in fantastic spirit. great when the visitors changerooms are finished also.good luck to all clubs in the run home div 5 has been a great comp in 2010, lets keep it going

Plympton looked more like a team yesterday and followed instruction well.
could be what cost them in the last 15mins as went to defensive while only 3 points up and needed to attack.
Have to learn how to win the close ones. i think it comes down to belief in each other.
Heccies are a good side and plympton went with them. If finals are missed this loss won't be the one that caused it, It would be rosewater @ rosewater or Blackfriars at plympton or 6 goals up at half time in the pouring rain at Hope valley and losing.

plympton played their ground very well yesterday and had a very good structure up forward (esp with hibberd and smith back). our goalkicking didnt do us any favours esp in the 3rd quarter but we managed to keep within a few goals of plympton all days. In the 4th, we managed to pile on a few quick goals. luke broadbent outstanding without olsen in the team. kicked our first 5 goals. i think plympton will improve a lot in the 2nd half when they start to settle and they way they moved the ball was the best i have played against this year (cant really tell to much from brahma due to the conditions).

a couple of reports out of the game. plympton player got a free kick of the ball then when play had stopped and punched a heccies players in the face straight infront of the ump

1. Hectorville-Premiers, Again.
2. Brahma Lodge-Runners up, Again.
3. Plympton-Will pick up the slack a bit in the last half with Smith and Hibbard in the side.
4. Adelaide Lutheran- Could finish higher given they have their last 6 out of 9 games at home.
5. Elizabeth-To play in an Elimination final, if they make the 5, just finishing ahead of Smithfield.
6. Smithfield- I reckon they'll make a huge push for finals in the last half of the year.
7. Hope Valley- Had some big losses against the higher place sides, that trend could continue.
8. Rosewater- Avoiding relagation.
9. North Haven- We will not finish bottom and if we had some luck we could finish 8th, I hope.
10. Blackfriars OS- To finish bottom just below us.

Disappointing loss for Lutherans yesterday.
Coming home with the breeze thought we were a huge show to run over the top of them.
Matz was all class up forward in the last quarter.
We do have a good run home, but consistency has been an issue all year..
