TO TELL IF YOUR IPOD IS 5.5 OR 5.0 GO INTO MUSIC SECTION ON YOUR MENU AND SEE IF IT HAS A "SEARCH" OPTION IF IT DOES ITS A 5.5 IF NOT ITS A 5.0.

Installation Instructions
Step 1: Extract "Complete iPod Game Hack.rar".
Step 2: Plug in your iPod. Make sure it is enabled for disk use, and the "Do Not Disconnect" logo is flashing.
Step 3: Open up your iPod in "My Computer". Enable hidden files and folders in "Folder Options". (go to Tools>Folder Options>View Tab)
Step 4: Open up the "iPod_Control" folder.
Step 5: Paste the "Games_RO" folder into the "iPod_Control" folder.
Step 6: Open up iPodWizard.
Step 7: Change the edit mode to "Firmware File".
Step 8: Click "Open Firmware" and choose either "5g Firmware.bin" or "5.5g Firmware.bin" based on weather you have a 5g or a 5.5g iPod. If you choose the wrong one, you will have to boot into disk mode and restore your iPod.
Step 9: Click "Write to iPod"
Step 10: Follow the instructions on the screen. Eject the iPod when it is done.
Step 11: Go to Extras>Games on your iPod, choose your game, and enjoy.

I'm addicted to Texas Holdem for the iPod, it's actually really good.

Hmm, not sure about posting hacks on a forum like this Sam...but thanks :)
What does enabling disk use do to my iPod in terms of normal functionality?
Will it change how iTunes syncs with it - not sure I want to mess with that...

i have found everything works the same after this, but i have been told from other the games will be gone next time you update your ipod, but then its just a matter of putting them back on.

If you could confirm that Sam when you next update that would be cool.

I've bought 2 ipod games - holdem (5 stars) and LOST (3 stars maybe).

hmm very strange, ive done it a few times and everytime the games have stayed on.
there is quite a few other games around, there is a cracked sims bowling for ipod somewhere, and then also diffrent themes, although im not really sure how to make them, would be good to make a Centrals theme. :)

I think it's to do with the fact that since I have actually legally bought a couple of iPod games (yeah I know, weird but true) it's not able to sync my 'purchased' games with the er, less purchased ones. The couple I paid for don't get wiped off.
No matter, some of them look pretty crap anyway. Mind you, mini-golf is fun :)
