It wasn't because of the bushfire this was weeks ago.
Don't be fooled by the awesome speeds. They endure plenty of problems

They fill a niche market .. the one that caters for poor bastards that cannot get half decent internet because Telstra have neglected them for years and the NBN has been a disaster.

They aren't backyarders, but a very small operation, and when you understand how they've achieved what they deliver they've done it bloody well.

Yes there will be the occasional hiccup, but they are very responsive to customer's needs and continually upgrade their network to not only meet demand, but to be ahead of the demand curve. When any sectors on a tower look like reaching capacity, they upgrade them.

With a staff number of a few, they actually do an amazing job.

If you don't like their service, sure, don't use them ... and be stuck with little better than dial-up speeds if you're in a bad blackspot like I am.

I've been on them for 7 months, on a 12/1 Mbps plan, and for 99% of the time I well exceed those speeds.

For example, just now I'm getting 17ms ping, 14.2/10.7 Mbps ... find me any other ISP that will consistently give you MUCH MORE speed than advertised and I'll buy a Port Power membership and sing their stupid song in the Mall for a week.

Considering I was previously on a very long ADSL run getting 6.5/0.3 Mbps I'm extremely happy ... and I run a lot of my business which heavily relies on a fast and stable internet from home.

But by all means, kick the crap out of them.

TPG are going to takeover iiNet for $1.4 Billion.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-03-13/t ... ns/6312910

I'm old enough to remember when Adam Internet wasn't owned by either TPG or iinet. Makes me a little nervous re-signing with Adam Internet if Telstra give me the go ahead here in a couple of weeks time, supposedly TPG have notoriously bad customer service but then again in my experience Adam's customer service has gone out the window since they were taken over by iinet anyway.

TPG has too much money. Bastards
They paid over $350M to PIPE Networks to take them over.
Mind you, that sale is the reason my old boss is on the Shark Tank

Oh ok. Wasn't sure what you meant by old enough because iiNet only purchased Adam two years ago.

Yeah I was just being silly, Adam Internet was independent for so long then in the space of 2.5 years it's been taken over by Telstra (rejected), iiNet and now TPG.

I have Adam Naked DSL and Netflix.

Apparently Netflix doesnt use your data, but mine is.

Anyone know if i need to do anything to get it to work properly?

Im waiting for Adam to call me back.

EDIT**

All good. Turns out my PS4 was downloading game updates in the background at the same time. Netflix is working quota free.

Is Adam quota free for NetFlix if you use it from the US?

No idea. Since you'd using a proxy to get the US version, Adam might not recognise that its Netflix using the data.

Mines through the PS4 app

I'm with them for my WDSL and they are good. Their nbn plans look cheap but they don't seem to offer 100Mb plans so depends on what speed you want I would think.

Ive been on Nuskope ADSL for a couple years and have no complaints. Unlimited data for $54.95, speed is decent for in the country (the piggy back on telstra), and customer service/assistance has always been prompt.
