Supposedly Telstra are going to keep the Adam Internet brand and expand it nationally:

So Adam Internet customers might actually get some service now

I had problems weekly when I was with them. Would ring up and complain about slow speeds, I would get the same thing every time hang on for minute try that and what you know back to normal. Change to bigpond and haven't had a problem and 4 times faster then Adam Internet

Haven't been with Adam since the dark ages of dial up internet, they were absolutely hopelessly terrible and rude so we went elsewhere

I am a lover of Telstra.

You pay for what you get.

Fastest Internet speed.

Thats what I'm after. :D

Sure I am pissed off with their off shore call centres that I try so hard to understand.

At the end of the day I'm happy. :D

I've had good service in Victoria with iiNet, and in SA with Internode.
So, I'm still happy with their merger.

adam internet was not very good, was with them both as a customer and a contractor for IT services, and they had no idea in most cases.Numerous times ringing up and complaining about my services as there is another guy in adelaide with the same name, and he kept using his allowance every month , and going over it, which they slow your speeds down when this happens, yet i could never get it through to them that it was not me. Having the same name yet different addressess would never compute with their billing side of their business. I signed up for a 6 month contract from memory at the time, and had issues for the whole time with them.

But hope the employees can find another job elsewhere

I've only had positive experiences with Adam after many negatives with Telstra forced us to get rid of them and landline completely. Very disappointed in this :(

The Telstra deal was rejected, now iiNet has gobbled up Adam Internet for $60 million.

Is that better or worse? Don't know much about iiNet to be honest

iinet has been under the radar a bit in SA, but they are reputable for high speeds. Download speeds can be erratic though.

TPG all the way - $60 a month for unlimited, no capping.

I used TPG dial up in 2003 after dumping BigPond. TPG were good at first but deteriorated - I assume they were oversubscribing.
It sound like they may be better now?

Once I moved to somewhere I could get ADSL in 2004, I used iiNet and only moved on to Internode when iiNet increased prices dramatically for those of us who couldn't directly use their LANs. I stayed with Internode when I moved back to SA in 2009.

A GP group I know in Melbourne had two surgeries linked to WestNet and were very happy with their service.

Yeah TPG have only come good in the last few years. Prices are so hard to beat.
