Anybody ventured out and got it yet? If so, where did you get it from? I have not pre-ordered. Ack!

Yeah, my son got it from EB Games, but he preordered it, he got the $130 collectors edition with 6 million things included, he's playing now and loving it.
He thrashed Fifa12 so I knew he'd love Fifa 13.
Meanwhile I'm thrashing WoW.

I got it last week and a few things which will take getting used to:
1) No player/manager option in career mode. This is a killer, coz if you go in as just a player, the coach could play you out of position, as he's doing to me at the moment. I'm a striker and he;s playing me in the left midfield. Annoying as.
2) If you like playing in a low division team and bringing to the top, you have no control over transfers etc, forcing you to play in a friggin dud team all year.
3) Your created "pro" doesn't get added to the default squads, so you can only play as your pro in player career mode and not manager mode.
4) Defending has again changed. I think they've tried to make it easier, which is fine, but hard to get used to, getting tackled all the time etc.

Like the first 2. Means you have to work harder. I've never liked how easy and unrealistic that part of sports games is.

I was thinking of how frustrated I was getting at getting picked at LM and then realised how realistic that feeling would be for a real player.
In that regard, they were successful in making it realistic.
But my answer to getting frustrated is just not playing the game. Lol

Bwahaha. You idiot!
What's the A-League like?
I get my copy this week hopefully.

Haven't had a crack at the A-league yet.
Been playing as Oxford United again in Npower league 2 but I'm starting to develop a soft spot for Fleetwood Town.
Another killer is previous years, I've been able to assign a commentary name to my pro but for some reason, it's not there any more! F#CK!!!

Picked up a copy this arvo for $78 @ Big W.. eb games wanted $98...
So far I've found it a bit poorer that what I was expecting... not having a fifa title since the 09 version and hearing from all my mates how good it is I was expecting more... being a PES 09 player, at 1st play I'm not sure it's any better...
Having proper names of clubs and players etc is a massive thumbs up.
Will give it some more time before I give a final verdict

PES is far better for game play but FIFA is the full package into terms of overall experience.

I reckon you need to buy FIFA every year to see the changes and appreciate how they improve it every year. Loving the game atm.

Hard to get used to a few gameplay changes but other than that, it's a ripper.

Recent addition this year, if not, last year. Can't remember as I'm not connected to the net on PS3. Too paranoid now! Lol

I think it was def in FIFA 12 but not sure about 11 and previous years... it is so good, you do need to be connected to the net though

Fifa 10 was its first year. I've been doing it since 11 and I've spent heaps on it in the past.
