Bit disappointed, was expecting the SIII to be 4G.
Whens the next iPhone out?

It will be, but not quite yet. Maybe a month or 2.

june 12th is when the next keynote presentation is, it is suspected to be released at this event and probably hit stores in september/october. But these are only rumours so could even be next year.

Unlikely to be announced at WWDC in June. They're following the same timetable as the 4S. Announced early October, released soon after.
It will not be next year.

Played around with the HTC OneXL. Nice phone with more to play with* than I had time for, only drawback, its huge! Way too big IMO for normal "pocket life" of someone using it for everyday business.

Rumours are iPhone is going to be bigger too. Not as big as the OneXL or SGS3.
Apparently 3.999 inches

As I've always said, no iPhone (5) released this time around. You guys are looking at a September announcement for October release.
Gives the Galaxy S3 and HTC One XL a hell a lot of time.

Contract on my current phone -Nokia E5 - is up in a few months.
I'll check out the market, although I may just continue on my current cap with this handset.
What I'm wondering is - is it going to get to the stage soon where there are no phones with keypads? I prefer them to to a touch screen, which I suspect will soon totally dominate the market.

There are still some keypad phones around, you will just have to search around.
Why don't you like touch screen phones?

Just a personal preference I guess. I probably figure touch screens are more likely to malfunction.

Have a play with one, they're great.
Only malfunction is if you drop your phone and the glass cracks.

Even then they sometimes still work. I cracked the screen on my 3s and it still worked.

Probably the opposite. Less buttons, less moving parts, less chance of breaking.
Ive had at least 2 phones turn into bricks before because of broken buttons.
