Phone problem

I've got a Samsung Galaxy II with Virgin.
Early this morning I got a message from the number 6357 reading:
From Optus: You will shortly receive handset settings for optus Data Service(s), pls save/activate these settings. Please contact Virgin Mobile for more details.

I then got two messages a minute later, both reading:
You will receive the next setting soon.

Now I can't call, message or use internet.
I haven't received anything from them except the messages.

Has anyone else encountered this problem before?

Try removing the battery and after about 30 seconds, re-installing it.

This simple step i have found solves many problems. :D

Actually Dogger is right, turning your phone off then off often fixes random glitches.

Did for mine last week, woke up twice during the week with my phone alarm, it had crept nearly half an hour forward.

My trusty old Nokia 7100S keeps perfect time, but that may be because I turn it off often anyway.

Meeeow!
The fact that I don't replace things when they still do the job adequately for my needs, just for the sake of having new, makes me wealthy not ignorant.

Of course, now I'm only running my IT company -founded in 1993, and incorporated in 1996 - as a hobby, and to help out friends I don't have the financial incentive to push "new" all the time.
(Not that I ever did, as it was only ever a sideline and not my main source of income.)
