A question because I'm IT illiterate

I'm off to Tassie next saturday and will be staying in parts of the state that only have telstra coverage... ie; Cradle Mountain and Strahan.

My phone is with optus and my wireless broadband is 3.

I've bought a pre-paid telstra sim so I can still make phone calls if necessary - but my question is:

Is there a way I can hook up my phone to my laptop and use the data allowance from pre-paid sim on it?

Hope that makes sense.

Any answers in plain english please

Have you installed the Nokia software on your laptop?

If not, do so. It should then be a matter of connecting the phone by Bluetooth or usb and activating the phone as a modem from the Nokia software.
