The iPhone 4S still sucks. I get the feeling the announcement of the "new" phone was rushed because Steve was close to death. Which would be why the "new" features were so underwhelming.

Maybe the 4S is what finally pushed him over the edge...

Those tech heads only ripped into apple because they where the ones talking about the iPhone5. Not once did apple say anything about a iPhone5 so how can you have a go at them when they did say anything. As Westsider said I also think the 4s was released early because of Steve health.

Sad loss ... it will be intriguing whether Apple will be able to keep up with their competitors now.

Apparently there are thousands of redundancies at Apple now with no Jobs around.

Took an almost dead company into a massive cash cow, apparently the iPhone 4s was released because some one lost or stole one of their iPhone 5s and they were afraid that one of the other android makers got hold of it and would try and release the same technology at the same time, therefore they are trying to make it better. Also apparently they couldn't report it stolen because it didn't exist

On a serious note, I doubt anyone at Apple has the aggots to continue to be as defiant and pednantic as Jobsy about the vision of the product to keep the iphone/pad/pod at the forefront of their respective fields.

I think apple will be fine without jobs. He has been battling cancer for 8 years so i'm sure he has been teaching his successor, he also hasn't been there since the start of the year. And to be honest hw much of these products do you think he has actually designed him self in the last few years.

He had a huge influence in all of their products. He was always involved in all design meetings.
