Unfortunately for you guys @The Dark Knight & @bennymacca EBs just released AFL early.

I know it's only an extra day, but still.

Mate at footy played it yesterday and said it was horrible.

Summary of this review. The guy gave it a 6.

Shit graphics. Compared it to PS3 graphics just with some face mapping for the more well known players.
Shit commentary. Compared it to AFL 99.
Fun when you're kicking goals, but he had to put it on easy to do it. The difficulty scale seems a bit too spaced out. Easy's really easy and mediums too hard.

Graphics I don't care about.

And a hard difficulty would be awesome as the old games were way too easy even on the hardest difficulty

Picked AFL Evolution today. Luckily put a pre-order in as JB Marion had none left on the shelf.

The eldest lad is already into a career mode on it

i am quite impressed by it so far. easy to get a game online and have played a few. The marking mechanic is quite hard to get right, i still havent got the hang of it. other than that i think the gameplay is quite decent.

Just spent the last hour playing it and its so hard to mark or spoil the footy. Ive found the best way to attack is just use the hands everywhere possible with the overlap then try to find a free man with a kick. If they could fix the marking up it would make the game alot better. Also i changed the camera angle to dynamic and its alot better than the side on view.

In MLB, my RTTS player was offered a 1 year $700,000 contract extenstion from the Padres. I decided to negotiate instead of settling for that.

In the end, I got 4 years, at $900,000 a year. And I assume since they are paying me decent money, that convinced them to keep me as the starting SS.

The backup, Rondon, was sent down to AAA El Paso, instead of kept on the bench like last season.

The Padres added some better players through free agency, but we're still in struggletown. We've got an 18 year old rookie 1B sitting in AAA that has better attributes than half the MLB team. Can't wait for him to be called up.

My average is .212 and the teams average is only .230.

I find the later at night I play, the more I start to swing at everything, and my stats take a hammering. The problem with that is I only have time to play it later at night.

I play on an easier difficulty to you because I just don't have time to struggle through because of the limited time I get to play, every thought of making it a bit easier?

Nah I'd rather keep it hard. I've done a career where I was a beast and hitting over .500 and it gets boring when you can hit anything.

I like having to pick what I swing at. My reflexes are just shit late at night.

Going to buy GTA V tomorrow. Always enjoyed it on PS3 (finished it twice) and was keen to get it on PS4. Graphics are obviously better and first person, other than that is there any difference between the PS3 and 4 versions

I got AFL Evolution yesterday and spent a little bit last night where I played a quarter of a Port v Adelaide game on medium and it was way too hard playing it for the first time. I've played about an hour and a half tonight spending the first part of it in the free roam figuring out the controls. Currently playing a game as the Swans v Carlton on easy and I'm starting to get used to the controls and game play mechanics. Feels like it'll take a while to master them. Starting to give the Blues a thrashing.

I'm finding it very hard to mark/spoil, that'll take the most time to get the hang of. I've put the camera on End-to-end view so I can see down the field and it's working very well.
